Dream Invasion

The pain in Lia's chest sometimes still returned. Normally it would only go away when she became a Gigatrum completely. This was a long and very painful process.

It had been a few days since Cindy found out about the race coursing through her body. And it had been a few days since Neil had asked her to give him attention and also give him a chance.

At first, he seemed normal as if nothing had happened between them. But suddenly he began to look strange.

Early in the morning, he picked up Lia. His clothes were neater than usual. He smelt better than usual. His smile was kinder than usual. His hand knocked on Lia's door and then went in to sit on the sofa, a routine he always did with Lia's approval.

He waited quietly. Around his neck hung a necklace with a red stone on it. He hid it well under his shirt.
