Desperately

"You still haven't welcomed your grandson."

The king and queen were stunned after they looked at each other for a while. Their eyes went wide as if they had lost all consciousness they had for the moment. Until then they get their consciousness back, like being slapped.

"Grandson?" King Artesun stuttered, for the first time.

Lia turned to Prince Aerus, protesting, "You haven't told your parents yet?" And all she got was a shrug from the prince.

"Are you pregnant, sweetheart?" the queen asked, very enthusiastic and confused at the same time.

"Y-yes, Your Majesty."

"Good grief!" the queen cried, then she was busy summoning the royal physician to come to the hall. "Why did you just say? Your pregnancy should be checked, honey. You just came back from a long trip." Now her gaze was glaring at her son. "You didn't force her to come here, did you? You've also confirmed her health right?"

Prince Aerus grimaced. "She…. She's fine."
