Passing Sentiments(1)

*MROOOOO*

*BAAAAANG*

A loud cry echoed throughout the Moon Forest, followed by puffs of debris, detached trees, and bushes flying in all directions. A large beast wailed in anger as it crashed its branched horns in another tree, ripping it from leveled grounds.

Birds and small critters scampered off from the horned beast's onslaught. However, a small figure swiftly flew from tree to tree, as if mocking the angry beasts, whose dark eyes glared in fierce resentment. Who was that adorably cute and fast figure? That would be me, Yuiji here!!!

I hopped from another tree, seconds before the beast slammed its ultra-large horns into the very tree I projected myself off of. We were simply playing a game of tag, but it seemed like Mr. Mighty Horned Deer here was a sore loser. "Hey, ya brute! you're destroying private property you know, I'll have to teach you a good lesson."

"MROOOOOO!!" The beats roared angrily in reply, slamming its head in another tree I jumped off of.

Just as the beast recoiled from the impact, I dove straight towards the Mighty horned deers opening where it was least defenseless: The very head where its crowned antlers reigned supreme.

Pulling my fist back sharply, I swung and slammed my fist into the beast's head. A loud *CRACK* resounded and the beast's head caved in, blood bursting like a volcano. Its hard antlers shattered from impact, flesh tore as bits of bone emerged from its body. The beast went limp, like an inflated balloon. It didn't have a chance to moan or cry in pain, it simply died instantly.

I spun my body before landing flawlessly in a victorious pose, my two fingers up. "WHOO, score 586 Yuiji, Mighty Horned Deer 0" I cheered in celebration of a new record.

Hmm with celebration aside, what should I actually do with this? I looked at the corpse in wonder. I tilted my head left and right, my cheeks puffed out.

AlRIGHT! INNER MONO GIRLS, COMMENCE DISCUSSION!"

[ Mono 1: Rationality]: "Ahem-hem, perhaps we should let nature take its course,"

'OOOH, how knowledgeable Mono 1!"

[Mono 2: Food]: FOOD IS LOVE FOOD IS LIFE!!!

'I 100% agree with you on that Mono 2!'

[Mono 3: ??]: ANAAAAARRRRCHYYYYY, LAY WASTE TO ITS WEE BONES, TURN EM INTO DUST IF YA WILL!!!

'Ummm…?'

[Mono 4: Sympathy]: Awww, maybe you were too harsh, we're so horrible….sniff sniff

' Don't cry Mono 4!'

[Mono 5:Anxiety]: O-oooh, did we just do that? Are we going to be arrested? ARE WE MURDERERS? WERE KILLERS, ANIMAL SLAYERS, I NEED TO HIDE SOMEWHERE.."

' YES!'

What seemed like an endless discussion finally took its end when another voice entered the fray.

*GROOOOOOWL* I felt my stomach grumble loudly.

"Ooh looks like Mono 2 stands victorious!" I cried happily. I clapped my hands together "TIME TO EAT!" and started chowing down.

After a delicious light meal, I was picking white flowers in a handcrafted basket. I wasn't good at Arts and Crafts in my past life, it's just something I picked up in my years in this novel-like world. "Whoa who knew white poppies were in this world huh, this is perfect haha" I happily picked lots of flowers, gently settling them in the basket. After I finished, I made my way through the blue trees to my secret location.

The sun's rays moved gently through the blue leaves and multi-colored grass, their colors brightening. I lifted my head and allowed the warm wind to softly blow through my soft pink hair, shadows of sun-dappled leaves danced across my face. "IIIIII'MMMMM walking through the forest - the wonderful forest of hell~" I sang a little tune, my bare feet shuffling through the soft bluegrass. With my basket of White Poppies in tow, it lightly bangs against my leg in rhythm with my tune.

"Hahaha! Fantasy worlds are the best!" I said

After reincarnating into this dark fantasy world, I was quite terrified really. However, I was able to adapt. Despite not being human, I was able to adapt to a brand new world! Quite an amazing feat! Maybe monsters and humans aren't so different after all...or does it have something to do with me once being human?

'Hmm come to think of it, this almost makes 10 years since I've reincarnated huh' I thought.

Yep, 10 long years have since passed, with the changing of the seasons even my life has had many changes. One change was my newfound knowledge of both this world and myself. Another would be me entirely converting my reli-ahem my eating habits to meat. Frankly, it's not so bad, I just think of the blood as tomato juice and wala, down the hatch.

Hee hee, I'm sure you're wondering ~…..YEP, I LEARNED SOME MAGIC HAHA!!

With the constant routine of combat SPARTA training, and horking down lots of magic grimoires, even a lazy recluse like me can practically be a genius now! It was a little difficult at first….ok, A LOT difficult, turns out training and applying your training are two different ball games ya know, I almost died a couple of times.

It made me wonder how the hero and his party actually grew to be so good at doing this, the hero essentially being a normal human, it's weird ya know.

Anyway, since I reincarnated, I haven't seen a single human other than my father. I mean, after all, humans did make a big part of the novel. The main characters are human, the kings are human, mages are human, human human human, humans everywhere. Shouldn't I have seen some around here in the last 10 years?

Well, this iiiis the Moon Forest, one of the most dangerous regions in the Goldenstein Kingdom, and it iiiis essentially difficult to actually maneuver in this forest. But it's difficult, not impossible! Plus, stupid people exist here ya know, where are the greedy robbers, the overconfident pricks that think they're too powerful to get dropped by measly monsters!

Now that I think about it, even if I meet a human, would I be able to talk to them? I felt a great shiver course through me. Goosebumps pricking my skin. NOOOO Thank you, just imagining myself talking to people scares the marbles out of me. Say No To Human Contact!

[Mono 1]: INTROVERT ALERT!!!

Who? me? Nope can't hear you~ haha

"OH, I KNOW!" Why don't we just ignore humans forever and ever, yup great plan! Wow, I'm so smart! Aren't I smart?

[ Mono 5]: Why yes, you're so smart!

" Why thank you Mono 5 hehe" what's that talking to myself? I'm not lonely, ok!

I stopped near two giant trees, their barks were fading from dark blue into a more dark and ominous purple. These two trees were an entry point into another part of the Moon forest. I said I had acquired more knowledge about this world: the forest, my home, is one of them. Many would think that a forest is a mass of trees, rocks, and water all jumbled together in a space, but it's actually a lot more compact and solid than that.

The moon forest is like a maze, however, even a maze has an entry point and an exit. The trees themselves serve as guides. The Moon forest is split into 3 designated sections all having a series of different phenomena occurring in each of them.

The first is the Greenery. It pretty much lives up to its name, a place of green leaves and grass, even the tree bark and branches look normal like the trees on earth. It serves as the entry point to the Moon forest. Weeeell, here's the ominous part, the trees themselves are quite unusual, the bark being sharp like knives. Also, upon entrance, people are said to go crazy, not sure why though.

Next is the Hollow Grove. The trees are a mysterious blue with tinges of violet. At night, however, things become very elusive and transparent. You could really end up lost if you don't pay attention. This is essentially where I live, and the monsters here are quite fierce! Of course, I'm much stronger haha.

Lastly, the End Zone. I haven't been in this area before, but even if I have, I wouldn't be there for long. It's practically a mystery, what once was, no longer is Papa would say. Not even he could survive there, so he never tried entering. Whatever the case, it's practically hell on earth
