Living life as a normal high school student, a girl suddenly dies due to unknown circumstances. She is reborn into a new world that seems akin to a novel she once read filled with magic, ranked monsters, and kingdoms alike. She decides to live her new life in her new home: the notorious Moon Forest peacefully and embrace her new identity Yuiji, one who is not human but a mythical creature. However as time passed, her once “calm life” turns turbulent when she meets the main protagonist of the novel, the future hero. This along with the sudden disappearance of her father and the start of the main storyline causes her to have no choice but to venture out of her “haven” and interact with the unknown.

With constant run-ins with the handsome and earnest hero who is quite fascinated by her, his bumbling party members who are quite eccentric, and the looming stench of blood and war brewing along the horizon, can Yuiji find her father amidst the chaos? And if she does find him, can she keep herself sane?

Info: Yuiji, a bright and cheerful girl, reincarnates into her favorite novel "The Last Standing" and tries to adapt to the dark nature of this world. Through her time here, she eventually meets the future hero, Sorren Pierce, and his family, sparking the start of the main storyline. She now traverses the forest to find her father who disappeared.

Info: Sorren is the main protagonist of the dark and gritty novel "The last Standing" and the labeled "Future hero". He meets Yuiji in the Moon Forest as he was lost. Upon returning to his home village, he finds it destroyed by an abnormal fire wolf. He along with his siblings and friend Jean escapes, leaving his mother and father behind.

Info - The father of Yuiji and the lover of Laira, Yuiji's mother. He hunts monsters and sells them to the Golden Markets. After the death of his lover, his methods of hunting monsters declined, and eventually, he stopped for good. After a recent outburst of anger with Yuiji, he mysteriously disappears.


Info: Laira is the mother of Yuiji, and lover of Erudian Long. She trained Yuiji to survive in the harsh conditions of the Moon Forest however, she was unable to fully train her as she passed away.


Affinity: Wind, Light Affinity(Healing)


info: She is the mother of Sorren, the main protagonist. In the original novel, she was supposed to have been killed, however, due to the interference of Yuiji, her life has been extended. She is an avid researcher of medicines and herbs, as well as monster anatomy.


Info: The father of Sorren Pierce. an expert combatant with the sword being his choice of weapon. However, a past injury in his leg caused his skills to have become rusty. He sacrifices himself to save his family and help them escape to safety. However, due to the interference of Yuiji, his life, much like his wife's, has been extended.


info: A drinking buddy of both Annie and Gale, he considers the Pierce family as his own. After the death and destruction of both his caretaker Old man Jenkins and his home village, he keeps his promise to Annie to protect Sorren and his siblings and escape from the village. Their destination: The Captial Villages.
