Brie's Request

Two years had passed and Nina was doing a great job on her work. The company's reputation blossomed after the interview with Luke Wilson.

She became the favorite of Carter Media and also her colleagues. Everyone knew how hard she worked for the company to get back on its feet.

Andrew was proud and happy for her, but there were things that was being forgotten because of her blooming career.

"Is your mom going to be there?" Lucas asked Brie.

There was a math contest and Brie had been chosen as the representative of Golden Oak's Elementary Department.

Brie shook her head. "I didn't tell her."

Lucas felt her sadness from the tone of her voice.

"Why? She will be happy if she knows."

Brie sighed. "Mom's too busy. I don't want to be a burden. Besides, you're here to watch me, right?"

Lucas frowned. "No. I'm here because I'm a contestant."

Brie pouted. "But the science contest is done an hour ago."
