Intense fight

In the mid of the night, in a dark alley at Red Valley city, Ryu moved his staff from above his head in a downward arc, aiming at a member of the highvale gang. There is nothing this young high valley gang member could do to prevent what was about to happen, as he had his back to Ryu, and even though he somehow could feel the attack coming his way, he still couldn't dodge, as he was off balance due to the attack he had launched into the void.

Like a grim reaper about to reap a life, or in this case, smash, Ryu swang the staff down to smash the head of this highvale member, while a layer of rocks formed around the staff, incrementing its weight and hardness.

However, when the staff was about to land on its target, Ryu felt something hitting him at the right side of his waist, pushing him hard to his left, causing the strike to miss its target and land on the ground, emitting a loud rumble.

...

A few seconds early, Nura had just sent one man down with his head cracked open and moved to the man at his right, who was waiting for him with a stout double-edged ax.

Nura walked up to this burly man with the outburst of a berserker fighter swinging the club as hard as he could in a wide horizontal arc, devoided of any technique or elegance, just a direct attack using raw strength. The burly man moved his ax to block Nura's attack, placing the ax in a vertical position between himself and the club.

With a dry sound, Nura's club collided with the ax's handle in a position between the burly man's two hands. The force of the impact was massive and sent the man back one step with concern written on his face, for this single blow was enough for him to assess Nura's strength, and he figured out that it was bigger than his.

Despite the small gap in strength, the man didn't shy away. As soon and he blocked Nura's attack, he raised his ax above his head to make his own attack. However, before he could start swinging his large ax, a second impact occurred, and the ax's handle broke in two halves, one with the ax and the other with only a piece of wood.

The breaking of the ax caused the man to lost focus for a moment, but Nura was expecting something like this to happen, of course, that he wasn't expecting that it would be so effective that the handle would break in two, but he was waiting for this moment of distraction to make his next advance.

Half squatting, Nura advanced in a low position, entering under the burly man. Nura's aim was the tight of the man in his front, as his priority was to incapacitate this foe to reduce the numeric disadvantage.

But when Nura stepped forward to close the gap while swinging his club, the burly man adjusted the grip on his ax, which now had only a small handle, enabling only a single hand grip, and began moving the ax down. At first, Nura thought that this man was crazy, as his attack was much closer to connect, and there was no way for the man to finish his attack after his tight was injured.

At least, that was what Nura was expecting, but he quickly figured out that there was something strange with the way that the ax moved. For some reason, the ax gained an incredible speed, and Nura felt a qi fluctuation around the ax. So, for the sake of his own life, Nura decided to skip the attack and avoid the oncoming attack, as the exchange of a thigh attack against a head attack wasn't exactly favorable for him.

Taking advantage of his low stance, Nura threw himself to the ground in a roll, escaping the ax by a strand of hair. Two steps further, the rolling ended with Ryu swiftly going to his feet, facing the axman with a cold stare.

Anyone who sees the attack that almost took Nura's life would immediately understand what it was because that skill was one of the most basic yet efficient, 'Bash'. For the first time, Nura felt the pressure of not having a skill, even a skill used only by beginners, put him in a dangerous position, and the fact that he couldn't afford even a single skill pissed him off.

At this very moment, Ryu suddenly appeared three steps distant from both Nura and his opponent. Since Ryu was on the back of another member of the highvale gang, ready to reap his life, both Nura and his opponent quickly understood what should happen next.

Both reacted instantly, the ax man moved towards Ryu to save his friend's life, while Nura ran to intercept him. As Nura had a small advantage in stats, he reached first, with his club high to strike the man and prevent his interference on Ryu's business.

However, before Nura could launch his attack, the man threw the half wood handle piece on his hand at Nura's face, forcing Nura to move his head to dodge. This small action caused Nura to open a small space, which the man used to approach a little bit, getting close enough to extend his leg and launch a frontal kick at Ryu's waist, destabilizing him and pushing him away, consequently saving his friend's life.

"Run, Carl. Go get some help." the axman yelled with all the force of his lungs.

In response, the young man Ryu nearly killed turned his head back to see the man yelling at him, and not a second later, nodded in agreement and exploded forward, quickly pulling away from the battle, using the sprint skill on its full potential.

"Get him, Ryu." yelled Nura moving to the axman and throwing an attack, which the man blocked with his ax. There was no need for a further explanation since Ryu clearly understood that if this man ran, he would bring help.

The problem was not more highvale members arriving at the place to join the fight because, by that time, the battle would probably be already over. The real problem was that before Nura and Ryu could flee and hide, the entire highvale gang would be chasing them in a public scavenger hunt across town.

When Ryu turned his attention to the running man, the spike-haired man came to him swinging his sword down to strike at Ryu, showing that he understood what was happening and would not let Ryu go that easily.

Ryu saw the sword coming toward him and did not even bother to raise his sword to block or move his body to dodge, as he knew what had to do, and wasting time with the spike-haired man would not help him.

Although Ryu doesn't have the sprint ability per se, he did have the ability that evolved from that, which was what he planned to use to catch the man named Carl. The biggest problem is that Ryu's ability evolved in such a way that it changed his entire function, so Ryu wasn't sure if his ability could reach the man before he was too exhausted.
