Chapter 11 Vice-Marines and Ace

During the two months that Paul and his crew stayed in Sky Island, their crew were on friendly terms with the sky island people. He brought many things to sky island that blew their mind and had a contest of strength with their current god Gan Fall. Easily winning the match, Paul made him his subordinate. Defeating Gan Fall was an easy matter, so he went to the people of Shandia. Thankfully, they were not totally at war before as Gan Fall was originally a person who wanted people with Shandia, it was only until Enel usurped Gan Fall and waged an all out war did sky island erupted with war. Going towards the Shandia people, Paul went towards their poneglyph with Robin. Robin read the Poneglyph to the Shandia people which told the history of the bell and its people. She also grew surprised when she saw what Gol D. Roger wrote on the side of the Poneglyph and grew more excited as she realized what she could look forwards to. She looked grateful at Paul as he continues to show her more and more about the world and the future he would bring to her and her dream.

Paul assigned Gan Fall as the protector of Sky Island while making the territory his.

Now, Paul was on their way on descending from sky island.

Paul: " Hold on tight haha"

Sera: " Why do we need to hold on tight.... aaaahhhh"

Robin: " When we hit the sea, are we going to splatter and die instantly from the impact or will a sea monster eat us before we hit the sea?

Daz: "..."

Before she could get an answer, the ship started falling down at a rapid pace. Paul already knew that this was gonna happen as he saw in the anime. The fall felt like a ride on a roller coaster and only felt joy at the feeling of falling.

As the ship continued to fall, a giant octopus flew out from above and grabbed onto their ship. Slowing down the ship as it inflated into an air balloon.

With the ship now slowing down slowly, Paul took a look at his log pose and saw that it was still pointing downwards and in another direction. He thought back to Usopp's comment about flying directly to Raftel. Although that may be slightly boring.. Paul still took notice of how much faster would it be to travel through the air. Therefore, he summoned wind and started blowing the ship to the direction that the log pose was pointing to to make traveling a little but faster. As the ship was not far from the sea, the sky island octopus suddenly deflated completely and they began to drop at a fast pace before hitting the sea. Luckily, they were that far above the sea and with Paul's powers, he was able to control the fall.

Not long after, the ship arrived at small island. The small island was surrounded by a rocks that stuck out from the sea looking as if it was protecting the island. Not long after, Paul saw a pirate ship sailing off. He looked at the jolly roger. It was a skull that had a hat with fire coming out on top. Behind the skull was a bright red spade... It was ace's pirate crew.

Not long behind Ace's pirate ship were four marine ship chasing after him and near the island was a broken down ship with marines swimming towards the island that they were on.

'boom' 'boom' The marine ships were currently firing their cannons at Ace's ship. Ace and his pirate crew were shooting down the cannon balls accurately while trying their best to flee. If Paul's assumption wasn't wrong, there marine ships that were chasing after Ace were the Vice-Admiral Draw's.

Paul: " Quickly let's go over and take a look."

Ace: " Let's stop and fight them."

Deuce: " No, there are too many. If we stop now then we will be surrounded. You and me might be able to escape but the rest of wouldn't be able to get away."

Ace: " Stay here and defend the ship then, I will go by myself to handle them."

Deuce: " Are you crazy Ace, there are more than one vice-admiral this time. Vice-Admiral Draw had asked for back up and brought more Vice-Admirals with him."

Paul: " Hey, you guys need some help."

When Paul saw and heard the situation, he had already flown over.

When Ace's pirate crew saw who it was, they were surprised by Paul's sudden entrance. Like Ace, Paul's reputation had also grown at a rapid pace. He easily beat the marine's commodore level marine. He beat the second-in-command Happo navy's Sai while battling Doflamingo's Lao G and also defeating Crocodile all in a single year. Before, Ace's pirate crew could respond.

Ace: " Chaos pirate Paul, we don't need any help from you."

Paul: " Come on Ace, don't be so stubborn. Even I could see the predicament you are in. My crew, although small, is a lot stronger than yours. Even if you don't want my help, I will still deal with the marines, next I will deal with you... hahahaha."

As Ace heard Paul's comment about his 'superior' strength, he grew frustrated. His bounty was higher than Paul's and yet, Paul had the nerve to say such a thing.

Before Ace could respond to Paul's comment, Paul and his pirate crew already took off to battle the marines.

Draw: " Another pirate dare comes to face us. Very well then, by capturing your crew we will exact Justice. Thank you for delivering us Nico Robin."

Paul: " You won't be getting anything."

When Paul heard him talk about taking Robin, he grew slightly annoyed. Although Robin was wanted since a young age because she can read the poneglyphs, Paul was still stronger and if he wants, he can wreck havoc when he was able to completely awaken his devil fruit.

'Boom' Before Paul could come close to Vice-Admiral Draw, another Vice-Admiral came and attack. It was Vice-Admiral Stainless.

Stainless: " Your opponent is me, Paul of the Chaos Pirate."

Not having been in a proper fight in a while, Paul was glad that he could face off against a fairly strong person to see where his strength lies at the moment.

Paul: " Alright, I'll take care of you first."

Paul summoned his dragon scales which covered him from neck to feet and attacked Stainless with his dragon claw as Stainless came at him with his katana.

'clang' Both exchanged several blows but could neither could come out on top. In terms of brute strength, they were about even. Seeing this, Paul fused both water and lightning together on his right arm and fire and wind on his left arm.

Seeing Paul getting serious, Stainless used armament haki, turning his arm and katana black.

Stainless: ' soru'

Paul: " Dragon's lightning destruction"

Paul turned to his right and attacked as he saw Stainless moved quickly and appeared attacked with his sword. Like this, Stainless disappeared and appeared all around Paul trying to find an opening to strike a vital blow. Paul and Stainless was having an intense battle as Daz, Sera, Robin, and Ace went to go fight their respective opponent.

Daz was fighting Vice-Admiral Oniguma, Sera fought against Vice-Admiral Dalmation, Robin fought against Marine ensign Isuka, and Ace fought against Vice-Admiral Draw.

Daz's mastery over his armament haki was also at the level of high mastery with coating his arms and legs with armament haki fighting against Vice-Admiral Oniguma with his unknown devil fruit that gave him the ability to sprout out six arms that which gave him the ability to use an eight sword style combat.

Sera sprouted out two pairs of wings which doubled her strength as she began to have an air close combat battle with Vice-admiral Dalmation.

Robin used her devil fruit ability to bring out clones of herself and fought against Ensign Isuka.

Ace used his devil fruit to battle Vice-Admiral Draw but was unable to come out on top as Vice-Admiral had a strong level of haki which gave him an extra edge against Ace's logia devil fruit powers.

Like this, for hours, the four's intense battle continued. Although the marines out numbered them, with Ace's crew of 20 and Paul's 10 Kung-Fu Dugongs, the marines that came with them were also at a stagnant battle.

Ace and Paul could still continue battling but he noticed that Daz and Sera were starting to fall behind. The vice-admirals that they were fighting were at a high level with their mastery of haki and Rokushiki powers.

Paul: " This is starting to continue for too long, fall back."

Daz, Sera, and Robin immediately used their strength to push their opponents backwards as they retreated to their ship.

Paul then flew into the water and started spinning around at a rapid pace. The water started to form a small whirlpool under the marine's ships and then Paul slowly flew upwards making a giant cyclone that started to drag their ships to its center.

Ace seeing what was happening, pulled back and told his crew to move away before they would be swept away too.

Paul: " Dragon's Cyclone."

Although the Vice-Admirals were able to resist to some degree, they could not just leave their subordinates behind and watch them get swept away and be thrown into the ocean.

Draw: " Dammit."

Stainless: " We have to pull back."

Draw gritted his teeth as he did not want to let his prey go, but since he asked for back up, he could not just leave as is or else he was going to be punished for leaving his marines behind, he also would not be able to fight all five of them by by himself.

'swoosh' the marine ships got swept away with the vice-admirals trailing after them.

Seeing them fly away, Paul smiled at his accomplishments.

Paul: " Ace, you owe me one... hahaha."

Paul gave one more glance at Ace and then continued on his way to Sabaody Archipelago.

Ace: " Dammit."

Ace grew even more frustrated as he saw Paul's strength. He knew that he still had a long way to go to become the strongest but he did not think that Paul's strength could be so strong, yet alone his crew. Paul's crew although few in numbers, each of their main combatants were strong enough to at least fight against a vice-admiral unlike his crew as it was only him and Deuce.
