Chapter 133
***
After that ordeal with Shanks, my crew and his crew started drinking together. We left our grievances behind.
"Yohoho~ Yohoho~" Negan even started singing and dancing at the table with Yasopp. The other crew members cheered for them, singing along with the famous song.
Shanks stared at this from one of the rooftops, he had a beer mug in his bandaged arm.
This bitch. I knew he wasn't injured by my attack. What was the bandage about? Trying to earn sympathy points?
He was good at dodging, I will give him that.
Fwish!
Within a split second, I appeared next to the Yonko, with a mug of ale in my hand, and sat next to him. I laid down and looked at the blue sky and wondered just how strong were the pirates out there in space.
"Do you never drink?" Shanks chuckled jokingly. I could sense the amusement he felt. He had balls to invite his crew for a party because now I might decide to kill him for real. After all, his crew was here and if I exterminate them all, then killing him wouldn't have any repercussions.
"No, I don't usually drink. I don't even like the taste of alcohol in general." No, I shouldn't kill him. Because if this came to develop into a fight, then it would be almost impossible to have casualties on my side, which would weaken me and my army.

In Wano, Momonosuke and his small group of retainers, Kiku, Kinemon, Kanjuro, and Raizo walked amongst Wano and saw that the people seemed happy. They couldn't believe that something like this happened under Kaido's reign.
"Momonosuke -sama, something feels strange," Kanjuro voiced his opinion. Even amongst the others, he knew that the people of Wano under Orochi would never be able to feel happiness. He wouldn't allow it after what the people had done to him and his family.
Suddenly, a round man, smoking cigarettes, walked amongst the crowds who were praising him.
"Queen!!"
"It's Queen -sama!!"
"How is Max -sama doing?!"
Queen smiled at the praise he was getting. Since he couldn't act as he wanted while working under Max, he had to try and act his best because he knew that his boss will never forgive even one mistake. Second chances weren't even in Max's vocabulary.
Honestly, the Beast Pirates who in the past while under Kaido's command could act however they wanted. They weren't satisfied with Max's overbearing rules. But what could they do? If Max was someone kind who they thought would forgive them, they would have given it a shot.
Of course, that was all something they would think about because, in reality, it was as unforgiving as they come. One mistake, it doesn't matter if it even was your fault, Max will kill you and exterminate your bloodline.
*
Kinemon and the others recognized Queen as one of Kaido's retainers. But they couldn't do anything but clench their teeth in rage as he saw the people Oden sacrificed himself for, they were praising the man.
Kiku put a hand on Kinemon's shoulder, to calm down the man as he put his hands on his swords.
"Kinemon, calm down," Kiku said softly, tears dripped out of Kinemon's eyes. To them, Oden's death wasn't something long in the past twenty years ago. But something that they had recently witnessed.
"This is so unfair, why is this world so unfair?!" He yelled out, drawing everyone's attention towards him.
*
Queen's attention also shifted toward the yelling and crying man, when he looked at them, he saw a group of suspiciously cloaked people. But he thought nothing of them and walked off. Even if they were CP-0 Agents, they wouldn't dare act out in Max's territory, so what was there to worry about?
As Queen walked back to Max's castle, he saw Gion, the woman who was nothing short of a monster, looking at him from atop the wall. She had a child in her arms, but the cold gaze she sent towards Queen would make even hell freeze twice over.
'That crazy bitch, it makes it seem like she will come and rip out my threat just at the slightest mistake. The scary thing is that Max won't even punish her.' - Thought Queen nervously, Gion was strong and he didn't want to get on her bad side. But since he was a pirate, she already hated him to the bone
*
Gion on the other hand only gave Queen a slight look and instead was concerned with the cloaked people. "Just Max said, they really did appear. Can he see the future or something? This is just too scary even for him to predict."
Then she rocked the pink-haired young baby girl. This was Akako, one of Max's children that she was taking care of. Letting her close to his children showed just how much he trusted her.
By now Gion knew that she had to inform Max what had happened. She will never admit it out loud, but she was a little scared just how the Admiral could calculate the future so well. Gion would never want to get on his bad side and he probably already knew it, so in her eyes, Max had already predicted that she wouldn't betray him.

-Max POV-
A couple of weeks passed after I met with Shanks and I was with Reiju. Only me and her were there. Kureha had taken us to my underground lab and she seemed kind of nervous, my Observation Haki could see through her now.
"So why did you bring your girlfriend here?" Asked Kureha, the smile on her face showed amusement. But she was terrified.
Well, she wasn't wrong to be terrified. Because my trust in her has been decreasing quite a lot lately. Now, while I don't mind risking my life for my goals sometimes. But that doesn't mean I was stupid enough to endanger myself in reckless endeavors.
"So, I heard that you have tried initiating contact with the World Government. Is that true?" I asked her jokingly. But my words weren't jokes at all. Normally people would need some proof before killing someone, but I wasn't like that. I will kill someone before they even try betraying me.
"The Reverie is coming up, and I am generally recognized by the World Government as the Drum Kingdom's ruler." She tried to play it off, but I saw through her like a hawk.
"Is that so…" I smirked, turned around, and pointed at Reiju. "How about you teach her everything you know? People your age could die at any moment, wouldn't want all that knowledge of yours to be lost."
Kureha looked at the ground with an unreadable expression. "Ahh… so you will kill me no matter what then?"
Well, she understood what was going on now. Kureha was smart enough to know that I didn't want the one person in the world who knew my biggest secret getting in contact with my biggest enemy. Whether she was going to betray me or not… I don't know exactly, but it didn't matter now.
"If you do a good job with Reiju, then I won't kill Chopper. Also, I will even act like I didn't notice you sabotaging the Munch Munch Machine that is used to fuse the clones and me." I smiled at her gently, but my words made Kureha fall on her knees.
Well, I didn't know anything about that either. But the Munch Munch Machine was my weakness, something that could kill me if it was sabotaged. "So, was there anything else that you were hiding from me? Better say it now so I don't get mad after your death and go kill Chopper."
*sigh*
She got up and took out a wine bottle, drinking half of it in one swing. After she was done, she threw the bottle on the ground, shattering it into a hundred pieces. "The more fruits you ingest, the more you lose your life span. Right now, you are very close to death even though you might not notice it yet."
