Chapter 35

"My Takhi has died and I didn't realize it," Sazhi whispered sorrowfully. "What kind of a father am I?"

"Kanta and Tak...Kaima," Tunga corrected himself, "fooled us all," he said. "I took my daughter to Kanta thinking that she was cursed but she wasn't."

"Zangori got legs because her mother was once human," Sazhi said. "You would have been foolish to not think that Zasari's humanness would affect her children somehow," he looked at Tunga.

"Zasari was able to understand animals when she was human," Tunga said. "Dandari can too. Zasari once had legs, Zangori got them too," he added.

"What made you panic, Tunga?" Sazhi asked. "You are usually calm. So what made you take Zangori to Kanta soon after she got legs?"

"I didn't want everyone to know that Zasari was once human," Tunga revealed. "I have only told you that detail of my life so only you and Queen Asando knew," Tunga looked at Sazhi.
