Rhychard shifted against the tree he leaned on as he stared up at the lighted window. Renny was still an active member of Harvest Fellowship. She had always known what was going on at the church. Not like Miles, a busybody in everyone’s business. She actually cared what happened to that church and the people who attended. Rhychard doubted that had changed in three months. She should be able to give him a clue as to what was happening now, a hint, at least, of what Vargas was after on sacred ground. Surely, she would now be a great asset in the battle against evil. Yet, how would he ever be able to describe what was going on without her thinking he was certifiably crazy? He couldn’t even get her to talk to him about ordinary things.
