As if that wasn’t tragic enough, Renny thinks he cheated her on her and has kicked him out on his backside.

Renny knew Rhychard wanted her to talk to Laci, Buttercup as everyone else called her, but she wasn’t sure the other woman wanted anything to do with her. If Renny was honest with herself, it almost seemed like Buttercup resented Renny being brought back to life and it had to do with more than the fact that her friend, Rose, died. It felt more to Renny like the other woman had started to develop feelings for Rhychard, and now that Renny was back, felt she was betrayed somehow. Rhychard would tell Renny she was overreacting, of course, but Renny didn’t think so. There was tension there, and talking wasn’t going to make it go away.
