Renny put her hand on Jordan’s arm, trying to calm him down. “It’s okay, Jordan. He’s with us.”
“He’s a stowaway, that’s what he is.” Rhychard crossed his arms over his chest. “Pux, what the hell are you doing here? Someone could see you.”
The small gnome turned to Rhychard, his arms outstretched. “I’ve already told you. Don’t you listen? How can you be a Warrior if you don’t listen?” He pointed to Renny. “I go where she goes. We’re here to protect the Warrior’s Blade.”
“What’s he talking about?” Jordan looked back and forth between Rhychard and Renny.
“To be honest, we never know,” Rhychard said with a sigh. He then turned back to Jordan. “Any idea where Aradhon went after he left you…” He couldn’t finish it.
“Left me for dead.” Jordan shook his head. “No. Trust me, I wish I did. He just yanked his sword out of my leg and left, almost as if he vanished into the horizon.”
