“Where the hell did she go?” Jayden stood in the middle of her bedroom, hands on her hips as she glanced around for her sister. “Why the hell would she leave in the middle of the spell?” She knew Laci wanted out of the coven, but she had agreed to see this mess through. Surely, her sister wouldn’t just walk off without telling her.
Alex shoved his dark hair out of his eyes as he glanced over his shoulder to the door. “I don’t think she left that way,” he said. “I never heard the door open.”
Neither did Jayden. “Then where did she go?” Jayden walked around the room as if Laci would magically appear huddled down beside the bed or something. “She couldn’t have just vanished.” She turned to Alex, her arms crossed over her waist. “Could she?”
