Tansy and the others raced toward the stage, watching as Erebus swarmed the crowd in front of him. “Famallumi, get started!” Tansy cried out as she called forth her power. Mark ran on one side of her, his gun in his hand, and Jayden ran along the other side, her fingertips sparkling with her power. From the side, she noticed Dean step out of the shadows, his staff held in front of him.


The Darkness roared, swiping at something around his head, and Edward dove out of the beast’s way, landing on the grassy portion between sidewalk and street. The other magicians raced to his side. If Chaos was there, Tansy would never know.


Dean turned to Tansy, pointing at the creature’s head with his staff. “Your witches are attacking him with their spirit animals. That’s why he’s swinging wildly like that. Hit him now while they have him distracted.”


“Edward, end this now!” Tansy yelled. However, by the look on the man’s face, it was evident he didn’t hear her.
