Chapter 52

The following morning, I woke securely wrapped in Liam's arms, but surprisingly, I had no desire to flee and was disappointed by my overwhelming urge to pee. Determined to stay put, I tried to think about last night, to remember the incredible way Liam had made me feel. When my phone started to ring across the room, I was unable to retrieve it and stay where I was. Liam woke quickly and dropped his arms. Reluctantly, I got up to get my cell and saw Hayden's name on the screen.

I didn't bother with hello. "Why are you calling me so early in the damn morning."

"Oh my God, Callie, it's after ten o'clock, and I need to talk to you. Like now. Come meet me for breakfast before we hook up with Liam to go home." There was gossip waiting to slip from her tongue; I could hear it in her tone.

I wasn't sure how to tell her that Liam was staring at me while I stood naked in front of him with a phone as my only fashion accessory. "Umm...yeah, well."
