Chapter 70

The last few weeks had been sobering. With no word from Liam, I came home and started to make plans for a life without him, with a baby. Every decision I made, I agonized over, wondering if he'd approve, but in the end, he never voted, and I didn't ask him to submit his ballot.

The only contact we'd had was via email regarding my final obligations to Quill, all of which he had no real dealings with; however, I'd cc'd him on the emails just so he knew I'd upheld my end of the contract-and that it was almost over. I'd email my final manuscript this week, and barring any unforeseen circumstances, it would wrap up my career with my publisher and effectively end all communication with Liam Hill.
