Catherine grew increasingly tired as she followed the path that weaved around the cottage, searching the back gardens and any spots that Danny might have missed. Puffing up her cheeks with air in frustration, she tried to think where Bella might have gone to look for Mary first. Catherine leaned against one of the large, looming stones for stability. A gust blew so hard it took her breath with it as it passed.

“Bella!” she shouted.
