Chapter 20: No Info...

Outside the shack.

"So... what do you wanna talk about?" Rin asked.

"Who are you? There's no one named Rin that have purple hair and a mole under her right eye."

"..." Rin hesitated. If she tells a lie, Garp would definitely notice it but she can't tell the truth. "My name's Rin... believe it or not that's my name."

"I went to the Marine Headquarters, there's no one with that name that looks like you."

"... Of course you can't find my name. My hometown can't be reach by outsiders. The people born there will usually stay there forever so their information is also only kept there... I'm a special case... I accidentally got here... That's pretty much all I can say." Rin can't tell the full truth so she tried to keep it as vague as possible.

"Are you from the grand line?"

"... Who knows." Rin answered.

"What do you mean by that?"

"... Well I already told you everything I could... I'm gonna go inside to eat." Rin goes back to the shack.

"Wait... Where is your hometown?"

Rin stop and turns around to face Garp. She smiled and said "Somewhere out of this world."

"What?"

"..." Rin was silent for a moment then she said. "I can't tell you everything but let me tell you something similar with my situation... A story about a girl. Her hometown is an island covered in a hallucinating fog which causes people to get lost and forgotten they ever go there but people usually will always get out of the fog, without reaching the island of course. An injection was given to everyone in her hometown at a suitable age to get immunity against the hallucinating fog. So only the people who lives there can come and go as they please.". . . ' I've prepared a faked backstory for myself just in case someone ask but nobody in the village actually ask so I didn't expect Garp would ask but good thing I make it. I changed my mind about telling people I know what will happen in the future. '

"..." Hearing Rin's story Garp was silent. "Does this mean no matter how much I tried to search information on you, nothing will show up."

Rin smiled "Yup!! Nothing will show up! NO INFO at all!"

Garp sigh "... Then what are you gonna do? Search for your hometown?"

"Nah! I couldn't care less."

"What about your family?"

"...My parents isn't mean but I don't think they really love me. They're only taking care of me because it's their responsibility and once they turned old they probably wanted me to take care of them saying I should repay their kindness."

"... Your siblings?" Garp asked.

"I don't really care about my older brother and sister. But I do feel a little guilty for leaving my little sister but as long as she do stuff properly she'll be fine."

Garp got a confused and shocked look on his face. He sighed and said "... Let's just go inside and eat..." He scratched his head like he's having a headache.

"Okay!!" Rin went inside the shack and Garp followed after. ' I'M SAFE!! Good thing I prepared a fake backstory. I told him half of the truth so he shouldn't suspect me too much. '

"Rin... are you okay?" Makino asked.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Me and Garp just had a little talk about stuff."

"Rin, did grandpa hit you?" Luffy whispered to Rin.

"Nope! I'm perfectly fine."

"Then let's eat!!" Luffy said before he stretch his hand to grab a plate of meat.

Rin chuckled at Luffy's behavior"Yeah! Let's eat."

= Few Hours Later =

Everyone finished eating, Makino, Rin and the mayor went back to the village.

' I wonder if they'll still make a hideout since Garp didn't beat them up... ' Rin thought.
