Esme's lips parted.

The indignance on her face was replaced by shock.

This… room belonged to His Highness?

One of those two Princes that they mentioned? 

The wheels in her head turned.

It can't belong to Prince Cardan because he was spending the night with Lucy… and if they were outside, then this still can't be his room.

Esme quickly roamed around the room with light footsteps, treading behind the curtains. There was no pond inside the room. It can't be Prince Cardan's room.

Then is it the newborn's room? The child they are here to bless?

Esme raked her fingers through her messy hair which was resembling a bird's nest by now.

If this room belonged to a child then why are these maids so intimidated? What can a young Prince do? How would he even dispose them?
