Contest(2)

Dev was frustrated after losing the still target archery contest, but it didn't take long for him to move on with it. Now, it's time for a competition in moving target.

"So, how are we going to compete for archery in the moving target," Dev asked Rose.

"We'll start with the target distance of 50 m. The speed of the target would start at 50 m/s. We'll both get three shots this time instead of ten shots. Whomsoever hits more targets, in the end, will win,"

"If we both successfully hit three out of three shots, the speed of the bird will increase by five m/s. If we both hit and miss the same number of shots, then we'll attempt again at the same target," Rose responded excitedly.

"Looks good. Let's start then," Dev nodded.

The first shot was taken by Rose this time. Rose placed herself in the shooting position.

She nocked bolt on the bowstring, took aim at the target and, shot the arrow.

"Thud,"

The arrow successfully hit the bird's eye, and the dummy bird fell, making a noise. The following two shots successfully hit the bird's eye.

It was Dev's turn. He got in his shooting position.

He nocked the arrow, aimed at the moving bird's eye, and shot.

"Woosh,"

"Thud,"

He successfully hit the bird's eye. The consecutive shots were also successful.

For the next round, the bird will have a speed increase of five m/s. Rose took the shot the first time and easily hit all three shots. Dev also didn't miss any chances.

The contest was going well. Rose and Dev both were doing their best in this round. There is a significant difference between a still target and a moving target.

The speed for this round was 75 m/s. Rose got in her shooting position. She nocked bolt on the bowstring, took aim at the target and, shot the arrow.

Unfortunately for her, the arrow missed the bird's eye by a close distance. The bolt hit the bird, but not its eye. Dev had a chance in this round, as early while doing warmup, his range was a 50 m target with a speed of 83 m/s.

Rose successfully hit the subsequent two shots.

Now it was Dev's turn. After getting to his shooting position, he aimed.

The first two arrows successfully struck the bird's eye.

Before taking the third shot, Dev turned around and grinned.

"Hmph," Rose scoffed in response.

To hit the bird's eye, Dev aimed at the bird's eye. When he saw the arrow's deviation, his jaw dropped. The bolt he shot missed the target by a long shot.

"That's what people get for being cocky," Rose ridiculed.

"But...but, how did I miss this big?" He was in disbelief.

"Get off. It's my turn," Rose said and gestured for him to move.

Dev moved away unwillingly. Rose grinned and took her position.

She was careful this time, as she didn't want to leave the match to chance like the last time. She nocked bolt on the bowstring, took aim at the target and, shot the arrow.

"Thud," The arrow successfully hit the mark. She took the second shot, and this time also she was successful. Now, it was time for the third. She put her left leg in front to make a good balance, nocked the arrow, aimed at the bird's eye, and shot the arrow.

"YES!"

Dev jumped in the air as the arrow missed its mark by a close distance.

"What are you cheering for?"

"You haven't won yet," Rose said irritably.

"Oh, we'll see in this round," Dev grinned.

"Hmph," She glared and moved away for Dev to take the position.

Unfortunately for Rose, Dev committed no mistake and successfully hit all three targets.

"This was a fluke, but anyway, you win," Rose patted his back from behind and congratulated him in her own way.

"It's only the beginning of my dominance." Dev boasted.

"It seems you've started joking lately. Should I laugh?" Rose scoffed.

They decided to leave the training ground after their match. Dev picked up sleeping Lily without knowing when she had fallen asleep?

Dev dropped Rose at the inn she lived. After dropping her, he returned to the clinic. He gently put sleeping Lily on the bed. He was tired both mentally and physically, but he never sleeps without looking at his family's picture.

He hoped to see his family in his dreams, that's why he would look at his family picture before sleeping. Touching Tara's face lightly, moving his fingers along the top of her smiling lips, he sighed painfully.

This picture motivates him, makes him slow down, and makes him think twice before acting.

If Dev were to write a story about himself, it would be a happy story, but with a tragic ending. The sad end didn't satisfy him. He wanted it to be a happy ending. But, this wasn't a story, and he was not a protagonist. He was just a son, a husband, and a father.

While Dev was improving day by day, he had no idea of where his enemy was or what was he doing?

Grey was not aware that he had created an enemy, while Dev was unaware of the identity of the man.

Somewhere on an unknown planet,

After reaching Level 4, Grey has ascended to this unknown planet. This planet was a Grade 3 planet. It was named Ravula.

Grey was a genius when it came to power-leveling. Even though he was born on a Grade 2 planet, he ascended at a very young age. Had he not waited for Niko to reach Level 3, he would have risen earlier.

The Multiverse acted according to their own rules. An Elf will only rise to a planet where elves are in the majority. The Multiverse worked this way to ensure the safety of newly risen beings.

Grey was lying unconscious on the ground. He looked to be in a jungle if we look from above, but a small area around him was entirely barren. Suddenly, there was a movement. His eyelids shook. He was about to wake up on this unknown planet.
