Just Another High School Story!

Leah was flying, these past months, the melody that was always playing like a soundtrack in her head had disappeared completely when Ethan said that Mindy and he weren't a thing. Again, as I stated before, their relationship was impromptu and baseless, it started out of nowhere, she was prepared to have to fight for Ethan, Leah, I mean, but fortunately, she did not have to. Ethan had himself said that Mindy and him, they weren't going to be together, she had all her life to hold him now, and she didn't want to waste a moment more.

They played volleyball there too, the teams were pretty good this time, but the people weren't enough, their coach offered to join, but the numbers still weren't enough, they were debating whether they should just play man-to-man, which was basically a way of passing to the opponent such that the ball wouldn't land in the attacking zone of the court, Leah still remembered, there was a time when she had played man-to-man, it was awesome, the coach who never praised anyone had praised her, it was truly a beautiful moment. Ethan was there that day too, he had seen her smile with her eyes, and act all shy, they were almost settled with what to do, when Erik and his gang walked over, and offered to be the opponents, they would add enough people to make a good game possible, the coach was all happiness and hummed, "The more, the merrier." he let them in, to Leah's surprise though, she made it into the same team as Erik, their team had two rules, never to complain about your teammates, you can't switch teams ever, and be friendly to everyone who wants to play. She knew that she had no choice but to embrace fate there and so she walked into court with a smile on her face, Ethan did not like that Erik was right by her side, he wasn't jealous, rather just worried, earlier events had already shown him that Leah wasn't interested in that guy no matter what, he kept following her, acting like they were friends, he was taking it for the sake of the game, otherwise, people would have seen something a hundred times more interesting than a game, the coach told them to play at leisure, no pressure, no points, this was just another thing they were doing, to make memories, this game was really special since it was the first one where Ethan wasn't mad at her, she could be at ease. She got into position, and waited, Xin and Mia were on the other side too, she was basically with strangers here. They started playing, and before she knew it, she was lost in the game, front, back, top, bottom, those things didn't matter, all she could see was la pelota, or ball, before she knew it, Erik and she were coordinating, since she hadn't done it in so long properly, she wanted to shine, and so she did. Leah could be terrifyingly powerful, and professional, she did not let the weird vibes she got from Erik affect her game.

When they were done playing, everyone started walking away, people were wiping their sweat, and Erik, like his usual self, started bothering Leah, he grabbed her wrist, and said, "Okay, you are really hot, I give you that, but do you have to act so haughty all the time, why are you playing so hard to get? You know that there are girls prettier and hotter than you are, right?" Ethan was walking slowly, intentionally, he wanted to be closer to her. Erik was looking like he had had enough, he grabbed her, and started coming closer. "Let go!?" she yelled, and she yanked her hand free, just as she was about to make her escape, she turned around but was dragged back by force, he was now acting crazy, she had had enough, she was tugging at her shirt sleeve, he was pulling it too, suddenly, her worst nightmare came true, the sleeve ripped off and it was really embarrassing, almost to the point where she did not even want to see what had happened, her shirt couldn't take the tear, it was a sheer shirt, therefor, naturally, she was standing there, basically naked, without her tee, and instinctively, she wrapped her hands around her body, what happened next, she couldn't even register before it was done and the people in question were all questioned, and punished, and the incident became a moment that was over.

Right after Erik ripped her tee off, accidentally, he smiled as if it was intentional, and said, "I take back what I said earlier, you're hot enough." Then he smiled a disgustingly creepy smile, and was about to make a move on her. Out of nowhere, E came flying at Erik for a punch, he punched him so hard that Erik fell to the ground, "Dude, just stop! What the hell!" He quickly took off his shirt, and put it on her, he did not even wait for her to pull down the sleeves, like a kid being dressed for the first time, he quickly put it on her, there stood E, shining under the sun, and Leah completely forgot about the pretext of this situation, earlier what had felt like misery and gloom unleashing their wrath upon her, all at once, that was all history, all she could see was how Ethan was there when she needed him, she could see him, it wasn't super sunny either, not the kind of sunny in which you could go around without clothes, yet there stood the silhouette of a boy who was trying to protect his girlfriend, he was like a lion attacking their prey, his eyes determined and teeth clenched, rather than roaring, he had attacked first, like a smart predator, Erik got up and spit out blood, "Come on man, what's your deal, I've been noticing you, and seriously dude, this has got to stop, that chic, the dark haired one, whoever she is, she's your girl, so if I make a move on her, you can hit me, that's fair, but she is single," he said that, as if it were a universal fact, Leah's face slumped a little at hearing, "your girl", an expression she wanted someone to use when they were talking about her and Ethan, but unfortunately, her ears had to witness the moment even when 'your girl' was used for some other girl, not her but Mindy; technically speaking, although Erik was acting really ridiculously then, one thing he said, made sense. What right did Ethan have to be angry?
