26. Misdirected

"Finished!" said Mike as he wiped the sweat that was streaming down his face. He fiddled with his computer again and. ENTER!

"Finally.." Erix mumbled who saw Mike's work on his computer screen. After a few hours of struggling with the screen, it finally paid off. Error. Not them, but only Mike. Remember. Only Mike does it! While Erix just watched and waited beside Mike. Do you know what he's been doing since then? He just kept babbling incoherently. But Mike didn't care, he just needed Erix here. Not to help him but to accompany him. So don't blame Erix because you can only watch Mike's work with a mouth that doesn't stop talking.

"It's harder than they think to hack. Those idiots won't be able to track it down. The security system is higher than the previous mansion." Said Mike with a twinkle in his eye. He was proud of the results of his brain.

Yayaya... Mike said that as if Erix understood the computer system or whatever. Do you know? Erix just nodded his head in agreement with Mike's every word. The man looked stupid. He admits that Mike is extraordinary in terms of technology even though he doesn't know the truth. He does not understand advanced technology. But Harry and his Master trust Mike when it comes to technology. That means he's really smart in that field right? What does Erix care about the technology that matters he also has talent at headquarters. Aha. He's got something to brag about in front of them. Good grief.

"What's the time now?" asked Mike who was still staring at the computer screen in front of him.

"22:35"

Mike then turned around. "Is that true?"

Erik nodded. "What is it?" he asked seeing Mike get up from his seat in a hurry.

"I have to go."

"Where are you going?" Erix asked again as Mike was about to leave the room.

Mike looked away for a moment. "Killed that damn woman." He said and then walked away. Leaving Erix still confused with the woman Mike was referring to. Ah, he misses his girlfriend so much.

"He has a girlfriend now? I thought he was gay. But that's good." Said Erix with a nonchalant shrug. He then got up from his seat.

"Has Harry arrived yet?" he asked one of the men in charge of guarding the cellar door. While his fingers were busy pressing the number beside the closed door. Of course, it was a special room for him, Mike, and Harry. The room must be closely guarded and must be hidden. Only they could enter, except for Lucas. The master of course can go in and out as he pleases considering all the keys are in his hands.

"Looks like it has." He answered doubtfully. Wasn't he just assigned to wait for the door here? Why did Erix ask what he should know? The man was strange. But why did his Master hire him with another extraordinary right-hand man?

Erix then stepped into the elevator at the end of the hall. Has he worked with Mike very long? Why did his body feel crushed? He then looked at his watch.

"How can it not crush? Nearly six hours of screenplay sucks." He said with a chuckle. Gosh. Even though he was just sitting around watching Mike work. Does he feel like working here? Seriously.

The elevator door opened. Erik then left lazily. He was completely exhausted. But just sit and chatter. He couldn't imagine what Mike's body was like. Moreover, his brain was squeezed earlier. Oh, poor Mike. He even now takes care of other things.

Wait! What sound is that? Why did he hear someone's voice here? Aren't the ladies and gentlemen asleep yet? But it's midnight. There's no way they haven't slept. Moreover, they had just moved in and had not hired anyone. He looks around. There's no one here. So where did that sound come from?

Erix took the gun that was in the back pocket of his pants slowly. He couldn't make a sound if he wanted to catch who it was. He began to creep closer to the sound that was getting louder and clearer. The closer he got to his room, the louder his voice became. Gosh. The lady is in danger. Unlucky. Why did they find them so quickly? Yesterday the Master and now the Miss. They really should be killed.

Brack!

"Stay where you are, you bastard!" said Erix as soon as he managed to break down the door of his Miss room. While people who saw the gun pointing at him just blinked their eyes confused.

"What's wrong, Er?" he asked confused. How come? Erix suddenly broke down his bedroom door and pointed a gun at him. What is wrong with it?

Erix came to his senses when he heard his Lady's voice. Why didn't he see who he was holding first? Stupid! That's the beautiful lady. Argh...Erix you're a disgrace!

He immediately lowered his gun. Then looked at Zoa who was sitting solemnly with a rather thick book in her hand. Did Erix hear wrong? But it's impossible. He could hear someone's voice here. And he wasn't sleepy enough not to hear that voice either.

"I heard someone's voice here. I think an intruder has sneaked into your room, Miss. I'm afraid you are like Mr. I'm sorry." He said sorry for having been presumptuous into Zoa's room. Moreover, directly pointed a gun at him. She must have been surprised by what she did. Oh, Eric.

Zoe smiled faintly. "I'm reading my book. Sorry to bother you. And as for the voice you heard, it's probably mine. Sorry." He said slowly and looked down.

Erik realized his folly. Where is the intruder who keeps making noise? Isn't that the same as seeking death? Erix. You're such an idiot.

"Ah. I'm sorry, Miss. Okay, I'll go first. Just continue reading. Once again I apologize," Said Erix then immediately left Zoa's room with a red face in embarrassment.

"Looks like I'm too tired," He muttered as he came out. He put the gun back in his back pocket.

"Hey idiot, stop!"

Erik turned. He found Harry walking towards him.

"You called me?" he asked scratching the back of his head.

Harry chuckled. "Are there any fools here beside you, Er?" Harry asked. "I do not think so," He continued with a shake of his head. While Erix just shrugged nonchalantly. Harry indeed sometimes lacks nutrition to the point where he can't tell what's stupid and what isn't. If Erix is stupid, the Master can't hire him here, right? Harry was weird.

"Why don't you help Mike?"

Erik frowned. "Help what do you mean? I just finished waiting for Mike to work on his computer for almost six hours. And you're saying I'm not helping Mike? Your eyes do need chicken eyes. Know," He said somewhat disapprovingly of Harry's question.

Harry rolled his eyes lazily. "See. You're really stupid now," He said and took out his iPad. Open one of the apps there. Then show it to Erix.

"It wasn't my fault Harry. Mike didn't tell me anything about that woman," Erix said after seeing the footage where Mike was fighting a woman he didn't recognize. He crossed his arms to see Harry's face.

"Ah, but he said he was going to kill a woman earlier. I didn't know he had found her," Erix continued remembering Mike's words before leaving earlier.

"What's the plan, Mike? He didn't even bring any of his men to keep watch."

Erix furrowed his brows in confusion. "What do you mean, Harry?"

Harry was silent for a moment. He stared intently at Erik. "He knows the woman, Er."
