As they stroll through the streets, they can feel the cold breeze brushing through their skin. It’s still 5 am and the sun is still rising to the skies. Sean maintained his posture while driving his motorcycle so that Louise will not feel awkward.
He noticed that Louise was still looking sleepy and was about to close her eyes. “Hey, don’t sleep just yet. You’ll fall in that case.” Sean said to wake Louise up.
Louise instantly woke and acted like she was not sleeping. “No I’m not! It’s just… there was something in my eyes.” And then she rubbed her eyes.
“Hold on tight. We’re almost there then you can sleep well in your bed.” Louise was hesitant on holding near Sean’s waist that made Sean noticed. He suddenly turned the accelerator that made Louise hugged Sean that made the boy smile.
“Just pull over there.” Louise pointed in front of a gated subdivision.
“I can just bring you inside the subdivision. Why would we pull over here?”
“I can walk home. And it’s still early. My father would get the wrong idea about this.” Louise explained.
“Why would your father think that way? I can simply like take you home right? And I’m not courting you.” Sean slightly laughed.
“Excuse me?” Louise looked shocked.
“I’m just kidding Louise.”
Louise was gonna say something but they heard a horn from behind. “Good morning young girl.” A man was on the backseat of a car.
“Good morning dad!” Louise greeted her father. Her father smiled.
“Good morning Miss Louise!” A boy greeted her. It was her younger brother Zach. “Dad, I think Louise brought a guest early in the morning.” He teased her sister.
“This is Sean, Dad. A schoolmate of mine. He took me home.” Louise Introduced Sean to her brother and father.
“Good morning sir.” Sean smiled.
“You know bro, you’re the 1st person to take my sister home. Well after Troy.” Said Zach.
“Troy Suarez?” Sean Asked.
“Yup, Troy my bro. My sister and him are pretty close. You know my sister is scary.” Zach answered. That left question to Sean’s mind. How is Louise and Troy close?
“Shut it Zach.” Louise cut him off.
“That’s enough you two.” Their dad said. “Why don’t you invite your guest Louise over to have some breakfast together?”
“Breakfast together?” Louise looked shocked over what her father said. “That would be nice Mr. Corporal.” Sean smiled.
“Good. Let’s go to the house and have some nice breakfast.” Her dad closed the car’s window and let their driver start the car.
“Hop in.” Sean said to Louise. “I think your dad means you should direct me to your home.
“I can’t believe dad. He really thinks there is something between us.” Louise looks irritated.
“Let’s go. The breakfast cannot wait Louise plus I’m already hungry.” Louise said nothing and hopped in to Sean’s motorcycle and headed to their home.
Sean parked his motorcycle in front of a modern looking house. It was a 2 story house and has big glass windows that make it look more modern aside from the modern touches that can be seen in the façade.
After the driver parked the car where Louise’s father and brother rode, Zach opened the pedestrian entrance for Louise and Sean.
“Welcome to our home bro! Let’s go inside its just time for an early breakfast.” Zach said and led Sean inside. Louise was just left outside looking amazed on how her brother approached Sean so jolly.
Sean opened the door for Sean and led him to the dining area of the house. The Corporal’s home was cozy enough to be said from what people can see when they get inside. It has a lot of family picture that is displayed in a side table and a big family portrait.
As they enter the kitchen, there was a lady in front of the stove and cooking something. “Good morning mom!” Sean greeted his mother that was preparing breakfast. “So this is their mom.” Sean thought.
“That looks delicious mom! Perfect for breakfast!” Zach excitedly said to his mom. His mom smiled and turned to Sean’s direction.
“Ohh so this is the young boy that your father said.” His mom said while smiling at Sean. “Good morning Mrs. Corporal” Sean smiled back. You can tell that the lady was a friendly person.
“Dad? We were together mom. What are you saying?” Zach asked.
“Your dad texted me before you arrived. You sister brought a guest.” His mother said and turned back to what she was cooking.
“Ohh… Dad was fast. This is Louise’s schoolmate. He’s… What’s your name again?” Zach whispered to Sean.
“Sean Sebastian.” He answered.
“He’s Sean Sebastian mom. The 1st guy who brought my fierce sister home. Technically, 2nd to Troy. ”
“What did you say?” Louise entered the kitchen.
“I said you’re pretty Louise.” Zach hid behind their mother.
“Enough you guys and prepare the table so that we can eat.”
“Yes ma’am!” Louise and Zach instantly prepare the dining table while Sean doesn’t know what he’ll do. “Sean young man?” Louise’s mother called him.
“Yes ma’am.”
“Can you carry this to the table?” She was referring to the adobo that she cooked.
“Yes of course ma’am.” Sean smiled and gets the dish.
The Corporal’s dining table was a six sitter dining table. Louise’s father was sitting at the end of the table while his wife and Louise were at the side. Sean was seated beside Louise while Zach was sitting in front of him.
Louise was putting rice on Sean’s plate and Louise’s mother handed him the adobo. “Eat up young man.” Louise’s mother said.
“Ohh, I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Melissa Corporal, Louise’s mother.” Melissa gave a sweet smile. “And this is my husband, Ramon.”
“It’s nice to meet you Mr and Mrs Corporal” Sean smiled at the couple.
“Oh please, don’t call me that formal. You can call me Aunt and you can call my husband Uncle.” Sean was all shy about the situation especially on how Louise’s mother was so kind and easy going.
“And by the way, I’m Zachary. But you can call me Zach bro.” Zach smiled to Sean.
“You’re just freaking out Sean guys.” Louise said out of a sudden.
“It’s okay. I don’t mind it” Sean reassured Louise.
“Sean right?” Her father asked.
“Yes sir.” Sean answered and saw that Mrs. Corporal was smiling as if she was telling him to call him Uncle. “Yes uncle.” and Mr. Corporal smiled.
“Where do you live? Maybe you’re parents are looking for you.”
“They are away currently in another country, for some business matters.”
“Ohh you’re parents are business people too?” Mrs Corporal asked.
“Yes tita. Are you familiar with the company S&Y?”
“Yes, they handle shipments throughout the country. Is that your family’s business?” Mrs. Corporal asked.
“Yes tita. It was from my grandparents’ business and they pass it down to my father.” Sean explained.
“That’s great. Your company is indeed successful until this day.” And they bought giggled.
“I would like to ask out of the topic Sean. If you don’t mind.” Mr. Corporal asked.
“Of course sir… I mean uncle.” Sean responded.
“How did you get close with my daughter?” Mr Corporal asked in a serious tone. Louise and sean looked at each other like they were nervous.
