[25] Black Swan, White Swan

“I thought you said this was going to be funny; I can feel myself falling asleep...” I whispered to Ethan. We sat in our comfortable velvet seats in the pitch black auditorium.

“Now you see what I meant about being bored to death,” he replied, leaning in to me, “It's not like Liz would agree with me, this is her thing.”

I looked around the room. There were countless little children here, and it was impossible for me to tell which one was little Lilith. We sat near the rear end of the auditorium, and we could look down at the rows of seats before us. This show was a series of ballet acts, when I thought it was just going to be one full story. This was a recital of more than one different dances -all performed by different age groupings of children from Sally's School of Dance in my hometown. I was most eager to see the fight; I was most eager to see the reactions of the audience and Liz’s victory.
