[69] Unsettling Matters

"Aaaaalllright, sleepy-heads! Everyone! Up, up, up! We're here!" said the bus driver, cracking his knuckles and walking through the aisle of the bus. "I can't wait to get me some rest. And then stretch my legs, of course. I'm going to have to run a mile to come back from all this sitting."

Peter, startled by this sudden shouting, fell off his seat, making a loud thud. Half the bus woke up with annoyed expressions and mumbling, and Ethan and Celena tried to get one last second of sleep before they opened their eyes.

Faye, mumbling into Leith's chest, had heard all the noise. She could feel his breathing grow slightly more rapid and she knew he was awake.

"Is it really over?" She whispered, not lifting her head.

"It is, princess," Leith said in a deep, sleepy voice as he stretched, forcing Faye to move.

Loud groans came from Ethan behind them, and Faye grimaced at the sound.
