"I talked to Faye," Ethan said, watching Celena fluff the pillows of their shared bed in their very own guest room.
Celena smiled. "I know. I saw," she said. "I'm glad you guys made up."
He sighed. "Boy am I glad that's over," he said. "I... was so worried when I thought she was gonna die."
"What did she say?" Celena asked. "About everything."
"She was fine with it. All of it. She's just lucky to still be alive at this point I guess. I don't think she's liking the whole Muse thing very much."
"She's not," Celena said, giggling. She sat on the bed and sighed, closing her eyes.
Ethan sat beside her, staring down at her side profile and admiring the soft smile pushed up against her cheeks.
"You are so beautiful," he whispered to her.
She opened her eyes and turned to find him; gazing at her in awe. "Thank you," she whispered back.
