Abigail was pinned on the wall by a strong man, and she felt a sharp pain in her arms. “Let go of me. You are hurting me.” Tears started accumulating in her eyes, but she still stubbornly looked at the man’s eyes in a challenging way.
The man leaned over her. Their faces were inches away, and his hot breathing was fanning on her cheeks. There were many emotions in his deep green eyes which Abigail couldn’t decipher. After a span of silence, Charles opened his mouth and said, “You are not going anywhere. You are now mine; mine to love, and mine to torture.”

“Hey… Why do you keep on crying?” 


The familiar cold voice sounded from the top of her head slowly. She came out of her trance and wiped off her tears, “I am not crying. It’s just…something got inside my eyes.” 


“Is that so?” Xander sat on the seat next to her, observing her attentively. “But why do I feel like you are lying? Tell me honestly, why are you crying? What is bothering you?” 


“No, it’s nothing. I am not crying. Something really got in my eyes.” She denied it again. 


He sighed helplessly. He felt a little disappointed. Under the present circumstances, he couldn’t force her to open up to him. But he was optimistic. One day she would accept him and love him wholeheartedly. With this thought, he changed his mood and smiled. 


“Okay, if you are saying that there is nothing, I trust you. But if you want to talk, you can come to me anytime.” 


“Thank you…” She mustered a smile.
