Abigail was pinned on the wall by a strong man, and she felt a sharp pain in her arms. “Let go of me. You are hurting me.” Tears started accumulating in her eyes, but she still stubbornly looked at the man’s eyes in a challenging way.
The man leaned over her. Their faces were inches away, and his hot breathing was fanning on her cheeks. There were many emotions in his deep green eyes which Abigail couldn’t decipher. Xander’s lips curled up slyly and mischief glimmered into his eyes. Within a snap of a finger, he picked her up horizontally and walked into the water. 


“Ah…” A scream escaped from her mouth. “Put me down… No… Don’t do it… I am scared of water… I can’t swim…” 


But Xander turned deaf to her and walked further into the water. Abigail was so scared that she wrapped her arms around his neck tightly, her eyes shut tight. 


Xander could feel her shuddering in his arms. An amusement spread in his eyes. He immediately put her down in the water, but she clung to him, “Don’t leave me, don’t leave me.” Her eyes were still closed. 


“I won’t leave you. Open your eyes and look around.” He couldn’t help but laugh. 


She hugged him even more tightly, “No… No… You will leave me.” 


“Hey…” He cupped her face and said in his commanding tone, “Look at me.” 


She shook her head vigorously and refused to open her eyes.
