Abigail was pinned on the wall by a strong man, and she felt a sharp pain in her arms. “Let go of me. You are hurting me.” Tears started accumulating in her eyes, but she still stubbornly looked at the man’s eyes in a challenging way.
The man leaned over her. Their faces were inches away, and his hot breathing was fanning on her cheeks. There were many emotions in his deep green eyes which Abigail couldn’t decipher. The hesitation, anxiety, and a little bit of fear on Riley’s face stunned Xander. He couldn't believe Zac Miller had such an impact on him. He frowned deeply and asked, “What are you hiding? Is there anything about Zac that I'm not aware of?” 


Xander’s question caught Riley completely off guard. His face turned paler. It was something that he could never tell anyone, especially Xander. 


Xander was still frowning at him, waiting for his response. 


Riley was nervous as hell. He was upset too. But he gathered himself and tried to stay calm, “I am just worried. He is not a good man. You should stay away from him.” 


“Is he more dangerous than Aidan?” Xander squeezed out those words, gnashing his teeth. 


 “Yes. He is more dangerous than Aidan,” Riley yelled at Xander for the first time. 


At that moment, he forgot that Xander was his boss, his employer. He was supposed to be polite and not offend him. But he couldn’t control the unlashed frustration that he held for so long.
