Abigail was pinned on the wall by a strong man, and she felt a sharp pain in her arms. “Let go of me. You are hurting me.” Tears started accumulating in her eyes, but she still stubbornly looked at the man’s eyes in a challenging way.
The man leaned over her. Their faces were inches away, and his hot breathing was fanning on her cheeks. There were many emotions in his deep green eyes which Abigail couldn’t decipher. The next morning, the first thing Abigail did was to call Xander. Her heart was pounding inside her ribcage wildly while the phone was ringing. Her fingertips were cold. Even though she made a call, she was still concerned about how to ask him for money.

His hoarse voice came out of the phone. It seemed as if he hadn't woken up yet. 


Abigail was astounded. Her eyes moved to the wall clock immediately. It was 9 in the morning. Normally, he would wake up early and get some exercise. She wondered why he was asleep up to now. 


Abigail’s heart sank to the bottom of the valley when she thought about it. She opened her mouth to ask, but before that, she heard his husky voice again, “Abigail, is that you?” 


“Yes, it’s me. What happened to you? Why are you sleeping till now?”
