Chapter 101- Sense of guilt

Xander was numb after learning everything. People's voices around him started to fade. He turned around and walked out slowly in a trance. Just as he reached the doorstep, he heard Abigail’s shriek which brought him back to reality. He turned back and saw Riley rush out carrying Owen in his arms.

“Dad…” He exclaimed and helped Riley to carry him to the car.

“Open your eyes. What happened to you?” He shouted anxiously.

“We need to go to the hospital fast,” Riley responded.

They laid Owen on the back seat, and Xander sat beside him with his father’s head on his lap.

Riley got into the car and drove at a high speed. Meanwhile, he phoned Dr. Roy and informed him about Owen’s condition.

“I am sorry. I am so sorry, Dad. Please… Don’t leave me.” Xander rubbed Owen’s chest constantly.

Riley glanced at him in the rearview mirror. Even if he panicked, he comforted him, “Don't worry. He will be fine.”

“Keep quiet and drive fast.” Xander roared.
