Abigail was pinned on the wall by a strong man, and she felt a sharp pain in her arms. “Let go of me. You are hurting me.” Tears started accumulating in her eyes, but she still stubbornly looked at the man’s eyes in a challenging way.
The man leaned over her. Their faces were inches away, and his hot breathing was fanning on her cheeks. There were many emotions in his deep green eyes which Abigail couldn’t decipher. After a span of silence, Charles opened his mouth and said, “You are not going anywhere. You are now mine; mine to love, and mine to torture.”

Abigail froze to hear another gunshot. More tears gushed out. She was afraid that Aidan might shoot her father again. 


A wave of shivers ran through her body as soon as she thought about it. She covered her mouth and turned frenetically. 


“Abigail…” Xander panicked to hear the gunshot and called her. 


Samuel and his team broke the lock on the door and barged into the room. However, their steps came to an abrupt halt to see Aidan wrap his arm around her neck from behind, pointing the gun at her head. 


All the pairs of eyes went wide. Xander and Riley panicked to see it while Samuel and his team were all alerted, aiming the guns at Aidan. 


Horror was what was seen in Abigail's eyes. Tears turned her vision blurry. She blinked frequently to watch Xander clearly. 


“Step back and drop the weapons. Or else, I will shoot her.” Aidan shouted. His sharp eyes swept the people inside the hall.
