REGAN'S POV.

We were finally alone and I couldn't help the smile that was taking over my face.

"It worked..."

She beamed.

"Did you see Edward's face? He looked like he just saw a ghost" she stiffled a laugh.

She was so adorable.

I couldn't imagine what this night would've been like if I had done anything stupid. Father would have resent me for the rest of his life. Considering all the advice he gave me before this ball.

How he had begged me to be of my best behavior because I didn't have to give my in-laws any bad impression about me.

How he had made sure I practiced how to control my temper and not take any haste decisions because I was angry yet I had been a step away from beating a man to death.

And I had only one person to thank for saving my stupid jealous ass from messing up big time!

Looking at the woman before me, I started walking towards her. Just as I sulk at apologizing, I sulk at saying thank you too.
