She tried opening her eyes but they felt too heavy. The voices that seemed far away some time ago were clearer now and she could make out the owners of those voices with her eyes still closed.
"Are you sure there are no physical injuries? Maybe we should've called the surge."
The king said.
"There's no need father. She's just in shock."
Regan retorted tiredly
"Then why is she not waking up? It's already morning!"
"And what exactly did you say caused that shock?"
The Queen's voice sounded right after the king. It was closer than all the others. She seemed to be sitting right next to her on the soft bed.
What was going on? Iris thought. Who was in shock and needed a doctor? Trying again, she managed to open her eyes this time but quickly shut them and whinced as the morning sun fell directly on them.
"She's awake! Oh thank God!"
The queen exclaimed, already taking her hands in hers. The king and the twins were by her bedside in a record time.
