iii. PARIS: Cinderella

The arrival of Cinderella came as a shock, but what surprised Maru more is how painful it is to see Paris's fiance before her.

They held a ball in honor of her arrival, the princess of Selene and her prince. They looked perfect, two golden-haired immaculate looking perfect dolls as they glided on the floor.

She is beautiful in that shimmering blue gown and the perfect pair of glass slippers. She looked exactly right for him, right beside the Duke of Meredith who lead her effortlessly as the rest of the crowd admires them.

Maru took another glass of wine and drowned herself in it, hating the scene, and hating the way it made her feel.

For a second, she and the perfect fiance's eyes met, and she could have sworn she smirked. That hateful scornful smirk that no way belongs to such a perfect face. As if telling her he is hers, and that she had lost.
