No Way!

Athena, Jezebel, Carson, and Jessika all share a dorm room. It was one big room like a studio. As you walked in the front door, there was one common space at the back of the room; it contained a couch and one armchair in front of a fake fireplace. There are two bay windows on either side of the faux fireplace, which allows a lot of light into the spacious room during the day. There was an area in the corner that had their mini-fridge and a cabinet full of snacks and games that they technically were not allowed to have in their dorm room. There is a large bookshelf on the other side of the room, mostly filled with Athena's books. In the middle of the room, there are four beds, two on each side of the room, with trunks at the foot of each bed. They each have their dresser with a small vanity mirror in between the beds on each side of the room.

The girl's dorm was quiet as Carsona and Athena were getting ready for bed. Athena was sitting on her bed brushing her hair, having a deep conversation with Carson about politics in the wizarding world, as she sat across from her on her bed. They never were that great of friends simply because they never get to spend much time together, but when they did, it was always some deep conversation about politics or what's wrong with the wizarding world that day.

"OMG! you won't believe what just 'happened eet was amazing!" Jezebel exclaimed after softly closing the door, her manners superseding her excitement, causing Athena and Carson to jump and turn towards the whirlwind that is Jezebel. After a minute of Jezebel passing back and forth across the room, ranting in french, Athena walks up to her and stops her in her tracks.

She grabbed her shoulders and looked her in the eye. "I don't understand a word you are saying," Athena said calmly, "Now what happened?" she said with a bit of squeak, getting excited for the story about to unfold. Carson excitedly stood up, forgetting all about the deep conversation she and Athena were just in the middle of, pulling Jezebel towards the couch, followed by Athena. Carson gently tried to make her sit down on the couch so she would sit still and tell them what had happened that got her so excited.

"So... ?" Athena trailed off questioningly, sitting crisscrossed in the armchair. Carson finally got Jezebel to sit down on the couch with her, practically pulling her down.

"Well, I was sitting een ze common room, just reading my book, while I waited for Jessika to come back from meeting with Professor Hayes when Tucker screamed at me from across ze room! Something 'about Isaac zinking I'm 'out or something, and zen-"

"WHAT?!" Carson interrupted rudely, very upset for some reason. Before Jezebel could finish the story, Carson was out the door looking very outraged. "Wait, you did let me finish!…" Jezebel called after her worriedly, seeing how upset Carson looked. Carson was very headstrong when she hears anything about someone embarrassing, hurting, or being mean to her friends. She doesn't think she just does.

"Well, what's the rest of the story," Athena said calmly, not very worried about Carson. "What did you do when he screamed that across the room?" questioned Athena.

"Um… I kinda walked over zer to confront zem, you know to zee ef eet was true or not." Jezebel said timidly as if embarrassed of her forwardness towards Isaac. "I asked Isaac ef 'e thought I was 'hot, and we'll 'e said yes…" she said as a ferocious blush appeared on her cheeks.

"And what did you do?" a shocked Athena asked, nearly falling out of her chair in anticipation.

"Well, I kinda told 'im 'e was cute… and um… kissed 'im on ze cheek," Jezebel said timidly as Athena practically jumped on her with excitement. This was very uncharacteristic for Jezebel; she is always so shy and timid around everyone. She never spoke out of turn and was a very mindful person when it came to everything she did. It was just who she was, but for some reason, that night, at that moment, she became someone else entirely.

Carson came bursting back through the door, looking very proud of herself as she strutted back towards her friends. "Tucker shouldn't bother you anymore," Carson said with a smirk forming in her face as she plopped down into the armchair where Athena was sitting before.

"What did you do?" Athena said with a bit of annoyance in her voice, giving Carson a look of disapproval.

"Nothing you should be worried about, I can handle Tucker," an overly confident Carson said, rolling her eyes at Jezebel and Athena's concerned faces, "seriously, everything's fine!"

"She kisses him on the cheek!" Athena started trying to break the tension in the room.

"Excuse me?!" Carson said with shock and disbelief in her voice, moving to the edge of her seat.

"She told Isaac that he was cute and kissed him on the cheek," Athena stated one more time to make sure Carson heard correctly. Before Carson had a chance to respond, Jessika came through the door looking mildly upset to find nobody waiting for her in the common room.

"Where the hell were you, you were supposed to form in the common room," Jessika said, throwing her book bag on her bed.

"I-I'm sorry, Tucker... an-and then Issac, and…." Jezebel started to babble timidly before Jessika cut her off rudely. "I don't want to hear it; you were supposed to wait for me."

Carson shot Jessika a glare of disapproval of how she was acting, but Jessika just shrugged it off, laying down on her bed, pouting as she excited dramatically.

"That was uncalled for," Athena said, looking towards Jessika with a glare.

"Nobody asked for your opinion Athena," Jessika snapped sourly.

The room went silent with tension as Jezebel's blush fell from her face as her expression soured.

The girls continued to get ready for bed, making small talk but nothing with too much substance, at the moment feeling very happy that the girls' dorm had a community bathroom big enough to keep their distance from her as they showered before bed. Jessika avoided everyone for the rest of the, only exchanging annoyed sighs and rude glairs.

As the night dragged on with a very uncomfortable silence, the girls, one by one, went to bed. It was about eleven p.m. by the time everyone went to sleep, Athena was lying awake thinking about Beckett. Thinking about their encounter in the hallway, how close he was to her, and the feeling she always got when she was around him. She hated that feeling; she didn't want to feel that way, but she had no choice; it was just something about him that, for some reason, was just irresistible. It might be because he is almost as intelligent as she is, maybe because he can keep up with her, and she liked that. Nobody but him could do that. He was so mysterious, but she could see right through him; she saw the kindness, the passion, everything that makes him, him; she never understood why he hides behind his facade, but she didn't care sometimes. He could get on her last nerve to the point that she just wants to scream, but she loved that challenge that he brought her, even if she sometimes wanted to throw the book at his head. He hated talking to him for many different reasons, but Beckett sounded nice after today's events.
