Chapter 12 : A way to attend the ball

Marlin looked at her family getting ready glamorously for the party this night. She pouted as she wanted to go too . But it's already decided to the point among the family members that she won't go  tonight at the ball after Loren said .

After the count got fully dressed up for the night he then looked at her daughter pouting continuously and looking disappointed saying , "I still don't understand why Loren told her not to go..."

His wife told, "Maybe it's a sibling matter we shouldn't interfere with as parents . Besides Marlin just came of age she can attend many parties as she want now and find a good husband for herself hoho ."

"Well that's true .....", Marlin's father also pouted some he wanted his daughter to attend as well .

Loren came and patted his father from behind , "you'll thank me later for this...."

As they were ready Loren looked at Marlin before going . She thought, " I knew my brother wouldn't abandon me hehe" Loren had a smug look , "See ya sister have fun in home !" Then they went away in their carriage to the royal palace .

Marlin looked dumbfounded . Turns out her cute brother turned out to be such a devil which really astonished her seeing this scene he created before going . Well whatever he just purely wanted her to stay away from them for her own good so she didn't argue back .

But....

That doesn't mean that's stopping her from going there . But how ?

Maybe it was a luck that day her bestie Sasha came to meet me before going to the ball . If she knew I wasn't allowed she wouldn't even come . Yeah that's my bestie giving priority to the situation first :) but me in circumstances.

After seeing me in my night gown it didn't take her time to understand I wasn't going to the ball tonight. She gave a blunt smile saying she just came to say hello and leave . She was in a hurry to leave .A facial expression meant to say I accidentally came here-

I tucked her dress before she was escaping .

"Well , well .. where are you going darling ?", I asked with a level of curiosity.

"I-I ...you know to the b-b...", she stuttered .

"Don't worry we have enough time . Complete your sentence I'm free whole time ."

In the end Sasha gave up . She sighed, "I can't really deal with you . Now what ?"

I went into deep thought and then finally I had a idea, "you know ..."

Sasha paused me saying , "Wait before you say."

She pinched her forehead thinking she's gotten into this mess because of me . But she can't escape though can she? :P

"You're not actually planning to come as my partner right . Wait haha what am I even saying! That's not even in the option lol"

I grabbed her hands tightly and smiled at her, "You really know what I'm thinking . No wonder you're my best friend!"

Seeing my touched look she paused .

"..."

"...?....."

"It's not time to joke .."

"I'm not joking though?"

-After a moment of silence -

Sasha started bouncing me out , "Are you out of my mind !!?! I haven't even got a husband let alone a lover and you want me to make people understand I'm into girls ???"

In a party when you're invited you're allowed to bring yourself a partner . In case indirectly it means you and that partner have some sort of relationship. Usually people bring their lovers or fiancée as a partner to the party .

I holded Sasha, "Calm down girl... you didn't even let me finish my words ."

"How can I calm down ?? Goodbye my love life ~"

I was like •_• thinking what to do of a person who looks she has been stripped off from her loved ones .

After some waiting ; I asked -

"Are you done ?"

Sasha sniffs, "Yes..."

"I was planning to go as a guy though . Obviously I care for your reputation"

Sasha said looking at me as if she seen a fool, "Yeah , sure . What am I gonna tell my parents which guy I brought and which family is he from . Also is she rich and capable . Are we in affair oh my god? Or he has marriage in mind ?

Sasha came closer to me , "Do you have a thought of me with marriage in mind , Marlin De Cloria?"

"What...no?!!"

I covered myself , "Don't drag me into your indecent desires."

"For a minute ago I was thinking people might think of me that way for your accomplishment!", Sasha yelled. "Now do you understand why it was a foolish act you're thinking of"

I rolled my eyes , "Well..."

Sasha stared at me . I diverted my eyes since I really don't know the answer . "Well?"

"I'm sure you will figure it out .."

I thought Sasha will yell at me again . But she didn't said anything . After pondering for a while she agreed . I was kind of surprised yet she didn't tell me the reason for her agreement . I didn't think of asking a way since it's already late . I told my maid to dress me up as a guy .

Obviously she was shocked at first . But she gave in to my every desires as I've won her heart . So dress up was completed . I looked into the mirror . The disguise was well done .

Marlin was already in the thought once he finds out she did so much work in order to meet him he will be pleased . She was already day dreaming that he would come and say, "You went through all the trouble to meet me . You already captivated my heart"

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh", Marlin started screaming .

"Milady are you okay ?", the maid came rushing in .

Marlin realised it was all a thought . She became embarrassed. Her cheeks was all red only having that thought since she can't seem to forget him . "Well it's agreeable since he's so my type . Can't wait to meet him soon >
