Chapter 151 Imagine how it feels

"Why are we here?" Luna asked when they reached the drawing room. "To give you your gift. The one I told you about." She was surprised and asked," You mean it wasn't the proposal?" "Not at all. Thank you for accepting my proposal. What kind of wedding would you like and when do you want it?" he asked. Thinking for a while, she said," I will think about how I want it to be but when it happens is up to you." He nodded before saying," I want it to happen soon. I want to call you my wife as soon as possible." She blushed at that and just then, the door was opened and the Howells family came in followed by Vikram who went to Graham and whispered something to him then left afterwards.

Luna looked at the Howells family members who had entered the drawing room wondering why they were here.

Silence filled the entire room before Graham said," Luna, the Howells have something very important to talk to you about." Being a business woman, she didn't find anything wrong discussing with them and told them to take their seats which they did. "You're leaving?" she asked when she saw Graham taking steps towards the door and he said," Yes, just for a moment I will be back. I will leave them to you." When she nodded, he stepped out of the room giving them privacy.

Luna noticed that they weren't saying anything and she asked," Yes please. How can I be of help to you?" They all didn't know how to start. Cynthia raised her hands and undid the knot behind her mask which fell off revealing her face. Luna gasped at the striking resemblance. She couldn't blink her eyes at the sight in front of her. "H-how is it possible?" she whispered. She recalled the conversation they shared in the washroom and a certain realisation struck her. Is it possible that she was her mother? And this her family? "Y-you, Are you my mother?" she managed to ask and by this time Cynthia's eyes were glistening with tears. She could only nod because she had nothing to say. On realising this, Luna immediately stood up. She didn't want to hear anything from them, at least not now. She looked at them all and wondered how they had found her.

Lucas stood up too and said," Luna, we can explain everything. We know you're angry at us or you probably hate us but all we ask for is your time please." "I am not ready to listen," was all she said and made her way towards the door when Cynthia spoke with pain evident in her voice that made her halt in her steps," We thought you were dead Luna. We've suffered all these years too, just like you. You were stolen from us when you were just born. I know that being a parent, you can imagine how that feels. Please, listen to what we have to say and judge us after explaining to you, Please."

With those words, she remained rooted in place and afterwards turned to look at them. She didn't know if she could be able to live if her son was taken away from her. "Have a seat please," said Cynthia and she sat back in the same spot she was earlier so that they could explain everything to her.

In the back yard, the party had come to an end but a number of guests were still present, many talking about business while others speaking with long lost friends they had met at the party. Vikram decided to give a call to Ciara to know the condition she was in.

Ciara who had been watching the Live stream of the entire party received a call from Vikram, "Yes?" "I was kinda busy today that's why I'm calling now. How are you feeling?" "I'm alright. You shouldn't worry about me," she said. "Did you have lunch?" he asked.

"Vikram, I know what I have to do. You don't have to worry about me as I said. I honestly love the baby the same way you do or even more so I can't do anything to put it in danger," she said. "It's not about the baby, it's about you. Don't think that I worry about you because you're pregnant. I do all this because I truly care about you whether the baby is in the picture or not," he said and when she remained silent he said," Have dinner and rest. You don't have to wait for me." With that, he hung up.

Ciara closed the laptop and went to the kitchen. She surprised herself when she watched the entire live stream of the party without feeling the distaste she usually gets whenever she saw Graham with another woman.

Was it because she was growing up and accepting reality? She didn't know that either.
