Something's Up

March 31st:

Surprisingly, although I went to sleep a lot later than usual yesterday, I only woke up an hour later. So I started my normal routine giving everybody a rare hour break in the morning while I did my workout.

However, something remarkable did happen today, as when I was going to plant the four orange seeds that had sprouted, I noticed a small green plant coming from beneath the soil. Once I removed the small amount of dirt still waiting on it, the plant went up slightly. It seemed that the first seed had truly begun to grow.

Seeing that I had been touching the ground right next to where the seed was, people slowly made their way over to where I was and saw the small green plant in aw, as although they didn't know how they did at the very least understand that the plant had come from the same place the seed was in. It was then that the system suddenly spoke up.

"Congratulations, host, you managed to teach 3 nomads how to grow a plant :D."

'That good and all, but why only three?'

'Well, host, you haven't really learned anything if you don't understand what happened, have you?"

'Oh, I get, only three of them actually know what going on right now; now that I think about it, that is rather impressive, isn't it?'

"Not really host, at least not in their current situation. After all, although they don't know why you do things, they still see what you do and are constantly being exposed to new things they had never encountered before, so their brain is beginning to get better at analyzing what is going on around them, only slightly of course. It is still an excellent thing though."

'Wait, what do you mean their brains have gotten better at analyzing what is going on sound them? So even if their brains are certainly similar to those we had in my time, the increase in capability is more than what should be average for them.'

"Host… you ae aware that although the human brain has changed over the years leading up to your time, efficiency-wise, the human brain was basically the same as yours starting 200,000 thousand years ago, and age that had already passed long ago."

'That's odd because if that happened, how can you explain the fact that our brains could keep up with all of the new knowledge we were gaining over time.'

"Well, that's simple, your brain's capacity was always the same, and it was always capable of holding far more than you people gave it any credit for. But, also, you do have to remember that your brain is like a gigantic storage space that has the ability of problem-solving, to put it simply, to the brain info that you may deem as more 'complicated' or 'advanced' like for example, a math equation takes about as much space as the taste of vanilla ice cream."

'Oh, that surprising... Anyway, since you are already here, would you happen to be able to help me with something.'

"Sure thing, host…."

'Yea, So I was just wondering If you would be able to help me with this problem I have been having recently regarding how many feet of water my boat needs to be able to float, you know I just got some RP as well, so feel free to just take some from there.'

"Oh, silly host, I do not know what you could be talking about. I had never made any offer regarding anything like that; now, would you be interested in being sent to the technology shop?"

'No, no, I have already bought info from you like this multiple times, look I don't know what game you are playing at right now, but if you want more RP in exchange for the information, I am more than willing to give it to you, as long as its to not outrageous a number, of course.'

"I must once again remind host that I never agreed to your request. Also, you yourself know that I have never bent the rules to give you any info, so I will once again ask you if you want to go to the technology shop to get info regarding what you are looking for."

'Oh, I get it, did I make you mad somehow, because If I did, then I am really sorry, you just have to tell me what I did wrong, and I will apologize and make it up to you, ok?

Plus, regarding exchanging RP for info, we both know that we have done this multiple times before. It's like you said the first time I asked you about it; for 3 RP, I can get any answers I want as long as my request is not too outrageous.'

"Come on, host, you know that you are not funny, plus we don't have the luxury to spend time as you are going unbelievably slow and are somehow letting down all of my expectations for you. And regarding the RP thing, you know better than anyone that I have never bent the rules for anyone, and you sure as hell aren't going to be the first, capeesh."

'You know what, since you are not cooperating with me, I might as well just go and visit the technology shop to see if there is anything of use there.'

"Good to see that you finally stopped talking nonsense host, I'll be sending you to the shop now (;・∀ ・)"

Instead of being sent to the store though, everything was black when I opened my eyes, and although I could feel things around me, I couldn't see anything. Regardless seeing that I would probably not be finding an exit anytime soon, I opted to just sit down on what I assumed to be a floor and then began to think back on how weird the system was acting.

Although I knew that it could sometimes be very eccentric and weird, it had never denied a payment, plus it seemed to be denying our exchange of RP for knowledge a lot, constantly referring to these rules I had never heard of. So although I didn't have any solid proof, I knew something was up.
