A Jerk Devil

Katy got inside the bedroom after they left. She saw Vanylla lay on the bed but not sleeping yet. When she closed to her, Vanylla sat and hugged her friend.

"It's okay. I'm here for you," Katy whispered. 

"You can tell me anything. You know that, right" Katy added. Vanylla released her hugs.

"I can't..." Vanylla said while sobbing

"Why?"

"There will be war if Daddy finds out about her."

"Tell me who he is." Vanylla kept refusing to tell and shook her head. He was terrified that if the two families met, then the thing he avoided the most would happen.

"You trust me right, Vany?" Vanylla nodded while looking down and continued to shed tears.

"Tell me who he is," Katy said softly to him. After a long silence and staring at Katy, only then did Vanylla start to speak.

"King..." Vanylla muttered.

"Huh, what ... you mean ..." Katy stuttered, and her face started to show fear.

"Mars King," Vanylla replied in a low voice. Vanylla dropped down her head while Katy closed her mouth with her hand palm shockingly. Mars King was the owner of Callesthene Star hotel and the Devil Club they visited that night. Katy started crying then she hugged Vanylla. Katy felt guilty because she was part of the incident also. Katy was the one who asked Vanylla to go to the club. If only she did not persuade her to go, this would not have happened.

"It's my fault. I'm sorry, Vany, I've should not ask you to go there with me," she cried hard, but Vanylla's hand took her face and wiped her tears.

"No, it was my fault. I should listen to you. I should not take any drink from someone I didn't know."

"Were you drugged?" Vanylla nodded her head

"By Mars King?" Vanylla shook her head

"No, but he took advantaged of it" Vanylla was crying again, and this time they were both crying. For the rest of the night, Katy held Vanylla on her bed until she slept. But Katy did not sleep at all. She kept caressing her best friend's hair until she decided something.

Meanwhile, Jared was sliding on the wall listening to his father about Vanylla. 

"I failed, dad, I should protect her, but I fail" he kept crying on the floor. Abraham came and hugged him.

"No, it was my fault. I'm your father. I should have protected you both" Jared kept crying on his dad's chest.

"I promise I will kill that bastard who did this to her, I promise" Abe still caressed his son's arm.

"First, we have to find out who that is," Abe said while consoling his son. 

THE DEVIL CLUB, NEXT DAY

Mars stood on his windows balcony, staring at his whole club. There was no show yet, but the bars already opened. From the spot he stood, he listened to the news anchor reported about the banned of David Lynn as vice chief of IFAF. He was proven to ask for bribery from King Enterprise. Mars King was blackmailed by Lynn when Wright Corporation finally took the new football stadium. The expensive watch was the evidence, at least that was the news report said.

"You are truly cunning fox Caleb, no cap!" Mars said to Caleb, who sat on the sofa behind him. Caleb chuckled and approached Mars on the window. He gave him a glass of champagne.

"That old rat deserved it, cheers boss!" Caleb raised his glass

"Cheers," Mars raised his glass to Caleb.

"What do you think about Mars?" Mars startled after daydreaming,

"Uh ... nothing."

"You think about her?" Mars released his hard gasps

"I missed her so much."

"I think you are in love" Mars looked at Caleb.

"Maybe, I want to take her away from here, far away, just only two of us. There's no more King and Wright, only Mars and Vanylla" Mars drank his drink.

"You are romantic, and I don't know that," Caleb teased him. Mars just gave him a slight smile until Caleb heard some noises outside of the room. There was a woman who furiously tried to break the security to Mars's room from the window.

"Wait here. I'll take care of it" Mars nodded.

"What's going on?" Caleb asked his bodyguard. A woman was swearing at them

"She asked to meet Mr. King, sir," the bodyguard replied

"You asshole, get your boss here, or I'll burn this whole club!" Katy furiously swore and yelled.

"Wow, easy woman! You should not break here. It against the rule" Caleb came and tried to negotiate.

"Fuck your rules, ask your boss to come here."

"don't mess up with me lady, I can throw you into jail."

"I don't fucking care, just get that jerk here," Katy confronted Caleb bravely. She tried to break the barricades by kicking some of the guards. She was troublesome.

"don't make me do violent to you. I don't hit a woman."

"O, really?" Katy would punch him, but Caleb caught her fist, but her leg was pretty fast and unanticipated by Caleb. She kicked his groin. Caleb ducked with his painful lower body part but still had the power to catch Katy when she tried trespassed to get into Mars's room.

"Damn girl, how could you be so tough?" Caleb held her by hugging them from behind, but she kept fighting with him. She even elbowed him, although he could finally hold her hand. Mars finally out of his room to see what was happening.

"What happened here?" he frowned upon seeing Caleb tackled a girl. Mars asked him to release her.

"so you are Mars King, now I understand" Mars frowned at her

"Who are you?" Katy chuckled 

"I'm Vanylla's friend, Katrine" she folded her arms in front

"What do you want?" 

"I want to kill you, jerk!" Mars frowned and tilted his head

"But I can't. You ruined my best friend. I hope God will curse you forever in hell, you son of a bitch"

"Why confronted me? I have no problems with you."

"Oh yes, you do, jerk. From this moment, do not ever try to see Vanylla again, or I am going to slice your throat" Mars was getting confused.

"What happened to Vanylla? Is she okay?" Katy almost cried but held her emotion.

"She's a pregnant jerk. Congratulation, you ruined an innocent girl."
