Some luck, at last

After some time, Heng finally calmed down a bit and when he actually started paying attention, he noticed that the man has been pointing at a bowl for some time. Once the man saw that Heng is paying attention, he pointed at the bowl and said something that remotely sounded like "food" .

That made Heng very happy as it meant that he wouldn't have such a hard time learning the language. He smiled and said nothing so that the previous chasing incident wouldn't repeat. Thankfully, the man stood up and left. That, however, confused Heng. "Did this guy really wait for me to wake up, just to point at a bowl and leave? something isn't right."

"I must be thinking too much..." he smiled. "Yea right, something is definitely wrong..." Heng then concentrated for a while before making a neutral face and realizing that it's probably the bowl. "shit's poisoned or something" he muttered as he looked into the bowl.

The liquid was green with some sort of vegetable chopped into it and pretty big chunks of meat we're present as well. "This just looks like a normal soup.." Heng commented as he suddenly stiffened as he looked at the meat again. "It's not that, right?" he started feeling sick, but he managed to suppress it temporarily.

...

Meanwhile, the man smiled after leaving the prey's room and nodded at some people outside who also smiled. "Is he really healthy?" one of them asked. The man coldly responded. "Are you doubting me? I personally checked him and even though he's pretty scrawny, he's completely healthy." the one who asked said something about not daring to doubt and went silent. The man nodded. "Alright, enough. Everyone get back to your jobs, we're feasting tonight." With that, everyone dispersed. After the moon came out, they gathered again and as they opened the door to Heng's room they noticed that it's empty.

...

"HAHAHAHA" Heng was laughing loudly as he "ran" somewhere random again. "I can't believe those idiots didn't put any guards outside." he smiled but then it struck him. "What if i was actually overthinking and they were good people?! D-does that mean that I just lost my only chance at healing and surviving?" Heng muttered in a weak voice as he looked at his sprained ankle. He grimaced and continued moving. "Well, nothing I can do now. Wait, I could turn back, but- hmm, actually, why don't I do that." he thought and he turned around. However, he hesitated. Wouldn't he be courting death if they actually wanted to kill him and that soup meat was actual human flesh? As he thought about the meat he got kinda sick again and decided to sit down. Then he fell.

Heng opened his eyes once again, it was already the second time he woke up after fainting today. Well, he didn't really even know if it was still the same day, but he wasn't exactly hungry so it seemed like not much time passed. It didn't matter what day is it, though. At this point he started considering suicide. What is even the point of living if his luck is going to be non-existent? "How did I manage to fall in a fucking forest?!" Heng gritted his teeth. He looked up and it seemed like he was in a cube shaped cave. "Great, now I don't even have a way up" he said and started looking for something sharp to end it all.

Then he saw it. It was a mirror. It meant that this wasn't a cave! His excitement then disappeared as with his luck, or with the lack of his luck, he fell into some super expert's bathroom as the master was relieving himself. He quickly turned around to apologize and say that he didn't mean to fall into his sacred place. Nothing but some old books were behind him, though. Heng almost screamed as he realized he's finally safe. After that, he realized that it's likely to have traps everywhere and almost felt like crying again.
