Mission 1:Action 2

"Master, her first mission looks pretty tough. Will she be alright?" Beth asked nervously now that the real battle was starting. Rather than the woman itself he was more worried about his Master.

"She would be alright. Don't forget she is my chosen one." Damian said calmly but his fist was clenched. Actually he was kind of nervous for her safety but all he could do was trust in her.

Meanwhile on Earth, Kang Jihun woke up with a hangover. He was surprised to find himself in his own apartment. He was pretty drunk last night so all he could remember was drinking and chatting with his buddy…. 'Wait, buddy? Which buddy?' He thought hard as he tried to retrace his memory back to the night before but it was hopeless. All he could remember was there was someone, someone very important.

"Shit I'm late." He paused his thinking as he rushed into his bathroom to save and dress for his work. He was just gonna wear whatever but since he had to impress her he felt like he should show off his masculinity and dress well. "But wait, who in the world is she that I'm trying to impress?" Kang Jihun felt another sense of loss as he couldn't think anything about any girl. For some reason he felt really empty and alone in the world like an abandoned puppy.

[Host are you ready?]

"Even if I'm not I can't back down now, can I ?"Mina wiped her sweaty forehead as she clutched her hands tightly.

[Since you are level 1 warrior, you can either choose magic or weapon. Which do you prefer?]

"I don't know what works against the spider so I'm not really sure." Mina thought for a while when suddenly her eyes lit up. "You are supposed to help and support me. You should choose for me after analyzing data and whatever."

Looking at the host who dumped her work on it system silently sighed but Mina could clearly hear it as their brain and thinking were connected. "I heard you. Now stop whining and do your job you little fuzz ball." Mina thought in her head upon hearing which Fuzzy got to work.

[Host from what I have analyzed, weapons is better to attack and kill the spider but since you are in experienced why don't you choose magic? It will be slow but as long as you don't give up, we can win.]

Hearing what fuzzy had to say, Mina thought up for a while before she finally said, "Okay, you are the strategist and I trust you." Mina added as she moved forward, "Partner."

At the entrance of the forest Mina stood with her fist clenched. She was tensed and looking at her the man who was observing her felt even more distressed. He didn't know why but he felt sour and pain as he watched her stand there trying to calm down her nerves. If only he could end this stupid event or ritual or whatever but he didn't had the power to change this.

The forest was big and dark. The trees were different than they were at Earth. Although the forest was beautiful, it looked scary now that it was covered by the miasma from the spider. Not a single living creature could be seen on sight."

[Host its time to enter. Prepare yourself.]

Thinking it was now or never Mina entered the dark and gloomy forest. As soon as they entered the forest they were transported to a dark cave. Inside that pitch dark cave tiny movements of insects could be heard. "Hey, did you hear what I just heard?"

The system was silent. "Hey, stupid fuzz ball. Why aren't you saying anything?" Mina probed in her head as she cautiously moved in the dark cave.

[Host I think we have miscalculated something.]

Mina had a bad premonition in her heart and she had even worse thought as she asked. "What??"

[The spider is a female spider Host. That means..]

Mina interrupted in between, "Then that means there are her babies and they are crawling all over the cave right?" Mina shuddered as she imagined tiny spiders with their spooky leg filling up the entire spaces. She couldn't take it as her leg got feeble and weak. She felt like she could collapse any moment

[Host do you want to retreat now?]

"That is possible?? why you didn't tell so earlier, idiot."

[You didn't ask.]

Mina wanted to retort back but that was correct since she didn't ask anything. "Still you could have told me." she imagined punching the little face but was unwilling to hurt the cutie in her heart. "Is there any catch for this retreat?"

]Yes. All of your rewards and bonuses will be halved.]

That's cruel, who comes up with these kind of logics?" Mina was frustrated as she expressed her anger. It wasn't a question until the system replied it.

[The information is highly classified. Host can't access the required information.] The system spoke as if it was giving an instructed answer. Mina now knew that there was someone really powerful behind this. But who?

Mina would have loved to think and deduct the creature but she didn't have time to play Sherlock Holmes at the moment. Her top priority was getting back alive and thinking of countermeasures against the spider and its children.[Host do you want to leave the mission temporarily?]

"Yes" Mina answered without and delay. Before she knew they had arrived at the entrance of the forest. Mina fell down on the ground when she was finally at a safe place. "So there is a Mama spider and baby spiders." She turned over as she lay on her fat belly thinking hard. "Give me the data about the spider once again.

The spider was called Behemoth by the local people there. It was around eight feet tall. It was terrifying especially with the size of its limbs and mouth that could swallow a single person in one gulp. That was why it was called Behemoth which also meant Gluttony. The spider came out hunting only at night so the forest was safe unless you get caught in the transportation circle that directly led to the cave.

Damian gritted his teeth in anger as he stared at the screen. The first mission was already impossible for a beginner now there was even a transportation circle. Those old fools were trying their best to bring down his chosen one using underhanded method. If they could do that then he would not stay idle either. He quickly connected telepathically with the system only since he could not allow her to hear his voice. "I know the mission is hard but stick with her till the end." He whispered something further and left quickly.

Looking at the worn out Mina even at first try, Lord Ganiveil who was the ruler of the dimension smirked. He got lucky that the girl came to his dimension first. He would be even luckier if he could kill her in his dimension. That gave the greatest amount of honor to the ruler among the ten dimensions. If a chosen one died then that showed how fearsome and formidable the Lord of dimension were. He was determined to destroy the girl mentally and physically. He sensed someone powerful approaching the girl but since it disappeared quickly he thought he might have hallucinated something.

[Host I have a way to win this thing.]

Mina who was trying her best to think of a way out jumped up as she heard this fantastic news.

"What is it? tell me. I'm tiered thinking and thinking." Mina asked urgently.

[Host, there is a short way but its risky. As long as we are able to slay the spider our mission will be counted as completed.]

Mina widened her eyes as she thought the mission only talked about slaying the two headed spider. It didn't say about the babies. But there was another problem. How to lure her out in daytime? And that aside what if the small ones attacked them? Mina was again disheartened.

[Host you can leave that to me.]

"How? Can you fight?" Mina thought and asked, "How is it risky?"

[No, I can't but like I said my level is as same as yours so if you can use magic so can I.]

[If we are unable to co ordinate with each other then we are as good as dead so it's risky. But I believe we can pull it off. We are one body two soul after all.]

[Don't ask me how but I can use spatial magic. Its either no or go.] The system replied all of her questions making sure not to reveal too much.

"I am in. I can take care of her as long as its daytime." Mina was fired up as she suggested going again.

[Hold up your horses Host. Don't you think you need to see you magic?] The mechanical voice of system sounded.

"Oh right" mina laughed. She imagined herself gathering energy in her right hand as the people did in the movies she had watched and surprisingly it worked in her first attempt. She could feel the surge of energy inside her body.

Mina thought of a lightening ball and it was in her hand. Although it didn't look that big the impact was pretty big. She felt her nerves tingle due to the large amount of current.

"Master why do you look like a proud father looking at his child winning a race?" Beth spoke as he peeked at the screen and at his master who looked proud and had a glint of smile on his eyes. Damian who was thinking how his chosen one could grasp the basic easily smiled unknowingly which was broken by the sudden interruption from Beth. Beth who sensed the danger right beside him ran away at full speed leaving Damian with the veins in his forehead twitching.

"Mission 1, Action 2, lets go." Mina shouted before she entered the forest. This time she was determined to win no matter at what cost.

Lord Ganiveil was determined to destroy her at any cost while Damian was ready to protect her from shadows at any cost.
