You can't stop me

[Host, what are you hesitating for? Initiate retreat.] The anxious voice of system sounded inside her head.

That was exactly what she wanted to do but she couldn't move her muscle. She was stuck in the ground and her legs couldn't help but tremble. With each step he approached nearer and nearer to Mina with the same glare. No, the possessiveness was getting even more intense. The whole environment was enveloped in his pressure and aura.

"Hey Fuzzy, what is the probability that I can win this?" Mina asked as she looked at the gray and dark sky.

[With your current ability and level it is near to zero.] Mina had expected that but chuckled at the straight forward answer of Fuzzy. The system sensed that something was not right.

[Host what are you planning?]

"As long as the chances are not nil, I can always turn the table, right?" Mina finally stood up catching the bow in her hand as she aimed the arrow at the man approaching her.

As a creature of superior strength he could clearly see her level and ability. Those arrows were nothing more than fly in his eyes. He moved forward unafraid.

Mina pulled the string smoothly as she aimed at him who was clearly underestimating her. The arrow flew straight into his chest. No way, it landed just behind him. Even Ray himself felt a little amused at her futile efforts which were totally useless.

Mina now only had three arrows left.

[Host how could you miss the target when he was so near??] The system was even more frustrated with the stubborn host who will neither retreat as told nor fight properly.

Mina ignored all of its complain as she drew the bow while she focused on each action of the target in front of her. Swiftly she released all of her remaining arrows landed either to his side or before him.

[Host, you idiot.] The system cried its non-existent tears. It knew they were goners now.

The wolf man before her chuckled merrily as if he was enjoying a great show and grew more interested in the female. "You will keep me entertained for a long time."

"You better dream about that because it won't be happening in reality." Mina replied as she closed her hand and cried, "Lightning barrage."

Without any warning, the sky parted as four lightning bolt fell on the ground each one attracted by the four arrows.

[Mana level has decreased sharply.]

[Use of unknown new ability has been detected.]

[Mana level: 5 (calculating the data.)]

Even through the notification window she could see the wolf tribe leader who was caught inside the array of the arrow with the lightning acting as the shield. He could easily break it but for some reason he couldn't. It was a high level skill but considering how the female was a low level magic wielder he couldn't understand how she could perform it.

[The danger has been temporarily eliminated.] The system informed Mina who was staggering in her feet.

"It won't hold up much." Mina knew the limit of her power and strength. This time she was lucky that nature was at her side. She dragged her beat up body towards the barrier where Ray was trapped. As if indicating something it started to pour down.

Inside the barrier, a war of its own was going on. Ray had lost control of himself but now because he was isolated and away from the sight of female, he could finally regain control of his body. But his instinct and primitive behavior was way too strong for him to fight off. Any moment he could lose his control.

"Hey, female. I know you can hear me." He spoke through his clenched teeth. Before she could respond he spoke, "Its better if you go away for now. If I lose control I don't know what I will end up doing."

"I know you underestimated me this time."

"And you can't get lucky all the time." He calmly replied back.

She understood him. Her lightning attribute was magnified because there were rain clouds gathered over the sky. If it had been a normal sunny day her attacks would have just scratched him nothing more.

"I would love to go away." Mina thought inside her head but she had a mission to fulfill.

"I will leave but I have a request I want to make." Mina was not sure if it was the right time and right move but she didn't have time to waste.

"This war, when will you be satisfied before you end it? Isn't it time that you stop it." Mina spoke with a heavy heart as she remembered the pile of bodies she saw when she entered this dimension.

Damian glared at the man before him who was calmly sipping tea. "Damian, why don't you join me?" He looked out from the window as he continued his invitation. "Isn't it such a nice weather?

"Lord Kennedy, you know why I am here or should I speak out myself?" Damian was calm but his eyes could kill anyone any moment. The man on the chair stopped his action. "You know, we beast man are supposed to be wild and savage."

A crashing sound was heard as he threw the cup he was using. It went past Damian almost touching him but crashed on the wall behind. "Like this, we are supposed to go berserk and fight and go in war. We are killers, hunters and predators."

"So what are you trying to conclude by all this nonsensical talk?"

"Ohh my dear Damian, you don't get it do you?" He stood up from his chair. The human body slowly changed until it turned hairy and sinister. Before him a lion stood where the man has been.

"I just tweaked his natural instinct little by little. How can a wolf be so humane especially how can he develop such useless human emotion? Ha ha….letting the female he wants go just because she was not willing." Lord Kennedy became hysterical as he zoomed into Damian's face suddenly almost startling him. "Beast men are not that fragile."

His laugh echoed throughout the hall which was filled with madness. "They were even willing to allow inter-tribe marriage between wolf and fox. Ha ha ha…are they stupid or what."

"Guess what happens when someone tries to go against the law of nature?" Without waiting for other party's response he replied himself, " Its all chaos and destruction."

Damian who had been casually listening to him suddenly came back to reality with his last statement.

"What do you mean by that?" Damian had a bad premonition.

Ray who was still trapped inside the barrier was silent when faced with her question. "This war, I don't even know anymore." She could sense the heaviness in his voice but couldn't understand why it sounded weary and tiered.

"The beast men tribes are strict and ruthless when it comes to tradition and our clan is no different. Just few months back a tribesman from our pack wanted to bond with female from another tribe."

"The fox tribe?" Mina asked, to which the man replied with a nod.

"I as the tribe leader had agreed to the marriage, it was a taboo but I allowed it because I felt it was the right decision. I just wanted to bring change but our trust was betrayed." His voice got ruddy and was filled with indescribable hatred, "The fox clan assassinated our tribesman just the night before the ceremony and even blamed us for kidnapping their female."

"Those cunning foxes were the one who started this and they will pay with their life, their whole clan for framing us and killing one of us. They brought this upon themselves." He concluded whatever he was saying with his voice trembling. There was mixture of pain, sadness and hatred.

"Fuzzy, why is the story different from the one I got?" Mina didn't know what to feel when she heard his side of story. She was conflicted with trying to decide which was truth and which was not.

[Host, all the data given to me are provided by the database loaded in me. Even I don't know where these come from.] Fuzzy was in confusion as much as Mina was in. The information it got was always provided to it so it never thought the origin of them. They were not from his boss for it was only employed by him to support Mina.

"I know you want me to stop this war." His voice got hoarse as he struggled to keep his control for his anger has brought forth his primitive characters.

"But you can forget about that. All of my men are willing to avenge our lost brother and our pride. It's not my own."

"You can't stop me and you can't stop this war." These were his final words before he lost his grip over his consciousness.

[Host, the barrier is weakening.] Sensing the familiar chill and danger it repeated.

[Host, initiate retreat.]

This time Mina had heard what she was missing and even her body was beat so she was not stubborn to stay there. She was sure she had already used up her luck. She ran away from the base of wolf tribe occasionally looking back at the lonely figure standing in the rain.
