This was the first time the princess had gone against him. Ever since the queen had passed away, he was the one taking care of her. He decided what she was wearing and how much she was going to eat.
Even if she was sick, he would decide what medicine to feed her and to whether get the royal doctor to come for her or not.
Never once in her entire life had she ever gone against him. This was plain blasphemy.
"But prin–"
The butler wanted to say something more but before he could do that, he was cut off.
Sir Augustus smiled, surprised by her bravery. "You heard the princess. She is going to the ball." As for her safety, he knew the Duke very well. The Duke will not let anyone die in his home after all that scandal. Even more so if it was the princess daughter of the late Queen who was allegedly killed by his household.
