BIOROBOTICS-A glimpse at the 'Soft-Robots'!

'Nature uses soft materials frequently and stiff materials sparingly'-a seemingly common phrase but the basic foundation of biorobotics. Biorobotics is a combination of biomedical engineering and robotics-a concept that is completely different from traditional robotics in terms of designing and functioning.

Biorobotics, aka, 'soft robots' take inspiration from nature for design and are designed to be uniquely suited to work with their environment. While traditional robotics tend to focus on speed and precision-usually having 'rigid body' and 'stiff joints', biorobotics aims to mechanically design 'soft robots' which can be deformed or adjusted to interact with the real world.
