Chapter 14

JULY!!!

Everyone in the room yelled out July's name at the same time. The July that just closed the door, it can only grin. Her three friends had burst in giving her a hug in turns.

While Rian, the only normal guy here, can only smile with two folded hands.

You know, they really miss July's presence in the studio. After July's wedding failed during that time, even contacting juli was difficult to do. It was not only the journalists, of course, who sought to know of July, but as a friend of course, July's news was crucial.

"I miss you so much, you know. "Yola still wants to hug July. "How dare you not inform us," yola snorted.

"All right, all right, let's take July in first." They brought July in.

"Come sit down." Anggi put July on the sofa.

July sits in the middle, while to the right from his left sits Anggi, Yola and Tiwi.

"How are you? I miss you so much?" Anggi grasped July's hand tightly.

"Of course I'm fine. I'm sorry, never came. " July said.

"It's okay, just as long as you're all right," continued Tiwi.

"You know, we tried to call you a few times, but you never answered. We were very worried," Anggi said.

July just smiled a little. She was reminded of his mobile phone that had floated away somewhere.

"You should know, on TV and on social media, everything is telling you. They've all been accusing you."Yola said again.

Of these, yola was the most chatty.

"I know," answered July quietly.

"Several times the reporters stormed our studio. They forced us to let you know where you were." Rian, who was initially silent, joined in the conversation. "It's lucky you live in a heavily guarded environment. I think journalists are also getting insane." Rian looked irritated.

Removing the heat from the head, rian immediately gulped down a neglected drink.

"Right, lucky you didn't come all this way. Those reporters are a mess!" Tiwi said with her rocking body. "If I could, I'd already wrenched their necks. "Tiwi makes a strong grip.

It was a dead calm. They're quiet like they're running out of topics. Only Anggi still smiled at the melancholy face of July. This burden must have been heavy on her.

"By the way, did you come here to join us?" Rian asked opening the conversation.

July shook his head. "I came here because I wanted you to know that I never had an affair." July's face turned sad.

"Hey. "Anggi wiped July's shoulders. "Who says you're having an affair? Nothing."

"That's right. You can't be cheating," I said yola.

Leaving his four companions behind to talk, Rian made his way to the kitchen to make a drink.

"You don't worry, we're always with you." Anggi soothes.

"But what about the view of the people out there? You know how fucked up my marriage is, right?"

"Precisely because of the mess you should be grateful for," Rian repeated. He bent over and placed five glasses of mango juice.

"What do you mean?" July asks. The original tears almost burst and receded.

"Yeah, what do you mean?" Yola and Anggi followed rian into the eye.

Rian sat on a separate sofa. "With your failed marriage, it means god is showing you that alex is not a good man for you," Rian says. "Alex has just decided to leave without saying goodbye, hasn't he? Just imagine your position as married?"

They froze together, trying to digest Rian's sentence.

"Right, July. It's good luck for you too," Anggi said. "That means alex doesn't deserve you."

"Right!" Tiwi snapped his fingers. "Don't drag on, or alex will be even happier."

"Speaking of your marriage, what exactly happened?" asked Yola.

Not only was yola curious, of course, but everything included Rian, Tiwi and Anggi.

Instead of answering, July took a deep breath. Maybe telling her all the problems would make her feel a little bit better. And again, the truth has to be revealed.

"Alex accused me of having an affair. She sent me a text saying I was having an affair. And strangely, he himself also sent a picture message saying he was with another woman."

"You mean?" All eyes take July's face seriously.

"What do you mean, alex is cheating?" Anggi confirmed.

July smiled sadly. Before answering, she grabbed her glass. The others must have given July time to wet his throat which might have been dry.

After a sip of his drink, July backs up. Hug-look at their faces-then start saying again.

"I've known for a long time that alex was having an affair -."

"What? "Yola screamed, much to the amazement of the others.

"Yola!" Anggi pinched yola's thigh and then asked her to shut up.

July is back in sentence. "Alex did cheat on me. I let it go, pretending like I never knew. - why? Because I was hoping alex would change."

"Since when do you know that?" Anggi asked.

"If I'm not mistaken, it's a month or so of dating."

All four longed to shout 'what' but didn't do it because they were afraid to take July by surprise. Only saw Yola and Tiwi nearly open their mouths. Luckily Anggi glared at him.

"One month, and you're still moving on?" Rian ensured.

July nodded. "Alex was in a career peak, and so was I. There's no way I'm breaking the news." July is all about being sensible and mature.

"And if you do, then alex will do the same for you? Not July." Anggi gripped July's hand tightly. "You're too nice to him."

"Anggi's right," Rian repeated. "You shouldn't have been so nice to him back then. See, now it's Alex who has no feelings to accuse you of anything, even if he's the one who's rotten."

July is silent, considering that is the stupidest thing July has ever done. Sacrificing feelings for something they call love? Shit. shit! What a fool. I want July to curse herself.

"I know that is my foolishness." July says again. "That's why I came here. Besides me missing you, I don't want you to think badly of me."

"How can we think ill of you? Not going to." Tiwi insists. "We're here partners and friends, we're here to help."

"Tiwi was right. You have us at your disposal."

"Thank you." July's eyes are bursting with tears. "You know, I even left college because I didn't want to see people."

"We get it. It's not your fault for being like this. You just need time." Yola clapped July on the shoulder.

Sighing, July soon curled her lips into a smile. "Thank you for today, I feel much more at ease."

"Anything for you."

"Then I'll go home, my poor driver is waiting." July stands.

"So you came with your handsome driver? Em, your bodyguard too?" Yola's smiling all wrong. Talking about being handsome and knowing only part of his face.

"Basic!" Anggi slap Yola's head by hand. "Yes, I have. I'll take you to the front."

July mengangguk.

"Em, where's your car?" Ran asked.

"Oh, yeah, where is he?" July inner.

Shortly thereafter, the car appeared and was again parked where it had been parked.

"Thank you for today, I'm going to leave you." July waved her hand before she got in the car.
