Chapter one

Mom: Amaris!, Amaris!, Where are you sweetie?

Amaris: what happened mum? Is everything okay?

Mom: yes, sweetie everything is okay,but why aren't you coming out from the kitchen?look, it's snowing!.

Amaris: I know it's snowing but, I don't want to go out mum!

Mum: get out from the kitchen and go outside you're too locked in yourself!

Amaris: ugh,FINE I will go if that will make you happy!.

She quickly got out of the kitchen and went to the living room.

Keres: where are you going?

Amaris: outside,why?

Keres:just asking can I come with you?

Amaris: Sure.

Keres:ok,then give me a second I will get ready and then we can go.

While Keres was getting ready,

Amaris sat in couch and started thinking about her sister:

"Keres is so much prettier and powerful than me. I wish I could be as charming as she is.

Uh, I will never be enough for anyone, especially for myself!''

Out of nowhere Lysander appeared and he noted his sister was sitting in the couch and seemed worried about something, so he

approached cautiously and put his hand on her shoulder:hey, are you okay?

He asked.

Amaris flinched but then she saw her brother

and answered back: ''yeah,I am fine!''

Said worriedly

Lysander: why are you here sitting all alone?

Amaris: I'm just waiting for Keres to go out. Will you come with us?

Lysander: it would be great, but I can't I'm in a hurry, remember that wolf named Alon?

Amaris: yeah, I remember you saved him from humans right? That was when you first noted that you could talk to animals.

Lysander: exactly, and now I'm going to see him because it's been a while I haven't seen him.

Amaris: "Good, then you will no longer be tempted. See you in a while."

Lysander:alright, bye.

As soon as Lysander was gone,Keres appeared. And both sisters went outside in the snow.

The weather was cold and dull. There was a mournful silence all around.

Amaris:"so, What made you decide to go out with me?"

"What do you mean it's forbidden to go out with my older sister?"

"No, I'm just confused,you rarely do it!"

"Well I decided that I want to know you better!" Said Keres.

"Well, what are you wondering about me?"

Keres looked her sister in the eyes and after a bit of a pause she asked:

"Why, are you locked in yourself?"

"No,I am not," said Amaris with a surprised face .

"Well,you rarely leave your room or kitchen all you need is just stupid music nothing alse!"

"And what do you want me to do?"

"Just try to make friends with someone"Keres gave advice to her sister.

Amaris took deep breath and continued:

"Listen even though we are sisters you still

don't know anything about me so let,me explain"

"Aaaa, that why I am here" Keres stopped Amaris

At that point Amaris was very confused and angry,but she tried to settle down and find out what game her sister was playing.

"So,you see,I don't have any friends because I don't want to

Now,we can go back home, because it's getting late and if the fairy mother sees us here she will get angry''.

After they got home from the walk Amaris was very tired so she decided to take a nap.When she got into the bed she took her fairy headphones and started to listen to the music.

Suddenly her fatigue disappeared but deep thoughts came on.

"Where are we coming from?"

She asked herself.

"We call ourselves fairies but unlike other fairies in the past,we don't have any wings."

"Yeah, that's right sweetie but do you know what is the reason why we don't have any wings?"

Unexpectedly her father came to her room.

"Dad!"

Said surprised fairy.

Father walked slowly into the room and sat down near the bed and started to tell a story.

"A long time ago there was one fairy named Candise,who was very selfish.he didn't care about others, the only thing he cared about was himself and nothing else. One day Candise decided that he wanted to become a human,

So he went to the people

And at the crossroads of fairies and broke the most important rule between two worlds.

Amaris listened intently to the story and tried not to miss a single word uttered by her father.

"What rule dad?"

Asked her.

"Never be disturbed by the spiritual from another world"

Amaris still could not understand what this rule meant,so she asked her dad:

"Um, dad what that rule means?"

"This means that if you leave your world, every resident will be punished for your behavior"

The father continued.

"After his bad behaviour we were all punished for centuries and lost our wings"that's all I wanted to say sweetie now, good night sleep well.

The father ended his history and walked out from the room.

Amaris was very confused about the legend and kind of frightened also.

The whole evening passed with her thoughts about the story and she still couldn't find the real reason why Candise decided to become human.
