*Rings the doorbell*

*Click*

When the door opened Suzune's excited appearance greeted me.

"Good morning, Tadashi-kun. What took you so long? Mom and me already started."

"Good morning, Suzune. My bad it's because I slept late last night."

"Oh... anyway, hurry let's go."

Suzune grabbed my hand quickly leading me inside her house.

At the kitchen I saw aunt Katsumi wearing an apron.

"Good morning, aunt Katsumi."

"You're late Tadashi-kun, and good morning."

Aunt Katsumi smiled and patted my head.

"What are we going to do today?"

I turned to Suzune and asked. Honestly, I don't know a single thing of what we are going to do. She only told me yesterday to come to her home early.

"We'll be making chocolate!"

Hahh... so that's why she is so excited. Suzune really loves eating chocolate.

"I understand, and do you know how to make them?"

"Of course not, Mom will be here to help us."

"Well, I don't know how to make it either... please take care of us aunt Katsumi."

"Don't be so polite, your aunt is happy to teach you two on making chocolates."

Aunt Katsumi smiled at me, she really is so kind huh... I don't think I have ever met someone as kind as aunt Katsumi.

...

"I did say that I'll teach you making chocolate, but rather than making it's more of like recycling."

Aunt Katsumi took a bar of chocolates that she bought from the convenience store.

"Recycling?"

Suzune who is closely paying attention to what aunt Katsumi is doing asked curiously.

"Uh-huh, making a true chocolate is harder than what you think it is, even your mother doesn't know how to make it properly. That's why we will be using this already made chocolate and turning it to a new one."

Aunt Katsumi pointed at the bar of chocolates on her hand.

"Then what should we do?"

"Okay. Suzune and Tadashi-kun's work will be chopping this chocolate into pieces be careful on using the knife, especially you Tadashi-kun since Suzune already knows how to handle a knife properly when she was helping me do the cooking before.

"I'll do my best."

I nodded. So this little girl already has experience in cooking huh? But handling a knife should be easy...

Aunt Katsumi provide both me and Suzune a knife, it's small compared to the usual size of the knives I saw before. I understood that this knife is kind of like a safety knife meant for kids my age.

Even though this knife clearly won't hurt both of us. Aunt Katsumi still reminded us, how caring she is.

"Let's get started, Tadashi-kun."

"Mhm."

Couple of minutes later.

"Pfft, I didn't notice at the start but why are you holding the knife like someone from that scary movie I saw, Tadashi-kun?"

She really has to laugh? Come on, it's my first time holding a knife, and you didn't even pay attention to me at the start.

"Whatever, as long as it produce results."

"Hehe, but doing it like that takes too long, right Mom?"

"Suzune's right, Tadashi-kun."

I didn't notice aunt Katsumi was already behind me, how embarrassing.

"Fufu... aunt will teach you how to properly hold a knife."

"O-Okay."

"First, pinch the base of the of the blade between your thumb and size of the index finger. Your index finger is the finger after your thumb, you should know where your thumb is right?"

"Aunt Katsumi you don't need to explain that to me I'm not that dumb. After the index finger is the middle finger then the ring finger and finally the baby finger or the pinky, the most smallest one."

"Humph! It's like your saying I'm dumb then. I don't know anything about that."

It's not about that Suzune... and don't think that cute pouty face always works on me.

"Ara? I'm sorry. Let's continue."

Aunt Katsumi covered her mouth with her hand, giggling.

"The first knuckle of your index finger should always be touching the edge of the blade. Then, simply wrap the remaining three fingers around the handle... understand?"

"Like this?"

I imitated what aunt Katsumi was doing while committing the act into memory.

"Yes, like that! You need to first get used to it... try chopping the chocolate."

"Okay."

Following aunt Katsumi's order I continued chopping the chocolate with this new way of holding the knife.

"Ara, you learned it already? You're more natural than I thought. It took Suzune a whole week for her to get used to it. How about you help aunt on cooking together from now on?"

"I'd love that."

I happily agreed, nodding my head fast. Having aunt Katsumi's presence always makes me feel calm and happy. I don't know why.

"I'm also here too, you know! And mom, don't say it like that it's as if I'm not talented in cooking.

"Fufu, sure my baby girl."

...

"Since both of you are done turning the chocolate into pieces. Put it into this bowl.

""Okay.""

"We are already halfway done, next we need to put this bowl filled with chocolate into the microwave turning the heat at high power. The power should be at most 70 percent."

Aunt Katsumi held the bowl before putting it into the microwave after closing, she then twisted the settings I suppose? on the microwave. This should be the adjustment of heat she said just now.

"We need to wait for a minute or so. Just set the timer in microwave for... hmm... one minute."

*Ting*

In exactly a minute the microwave sounded.

"It's hot so be careful, you need to put this mittens on to cover your hand so you won't feel pain, okay?"

Opening the microwave aunt Katsumi put a gloves, no, it should be a kitchen mitten on both of her hands before taking the bowl.

"After this is done we need to stir it for a bit. Just like this... you can try it, Tadashi-kun."

Holding out the wooden spoon on her hand. Aunt Katsumi urged me to try it. I hurriedly receive the wooden spoon before following her instructions.

"It should be okay now... we'll need to put this on the microwave again for only 30 seconds."

Aunt Katsumi put the bowl back in the microwave. As the microwave sounded again when 30 seconds was up.

"Suzune, since we need to stir this again until it is fully melted. It's your turn now."

"Yey, I've been waiting for this!"

Suzune happily jumped in excitement. This girl... I hope there would be no accidents.

"It's finally melted!"

"Suzune, go get those containers that we bought."

"Okay!"

Suzune came back while holding different kind of small containers that has a shape of a star, circle, heart, etc...

"When Suzune saw this when we were at the shopping mall, she kept on persuading me to buy it."

Aunt Katsumi patted Suzune's head while smiling. Hearing what she said I could imagine what Suzune did at that time even if I wasn't there.

"Mom, don't tell him that!"

"Fufu, then let's put this chocolate on the refrigerator and we're done."

"Okay! Come here Tadashi-kun, what shape do you like?"

"Anything should be fine but if I have to choose... then I'll go with this."

I picked up the star shaped container.

"A star? then I'll choose this one."

Suzune picked up the heart shaped one.

"Let's take turns on pouring the chocolate."

"You can take your time, Suzune."

Aunt Katsumi smiled while looking at us.

"We could've put other materials like sprinkles but since we are limited right now. We'll need to make do with just this.

...

After we were done pouring the melted chocolate on different kinds of container. We somehow also included other shaped containers filling it with chocolate.

Aunt Katsumi put it on the freezer, she told us to wait for a couple of hours before taking the chocolate.

"Tadashi-kun, did you take a bath yet?"

"No?"

Aunt Katsumi suddenly asked me and I answered her with confusion.

"Do you want to join your aunt and Suzune?"

"In taking a bath?"

"Yes! Let's take a bath together, Tadashi-kun."

Suzune happily said to me. Looking at her cute and happy appearance. I didn't have the slightest idea of refusing or I might make her sad.

"Okay."
