CHAPTER - 21

He said and pulled the trigger. "NO!! DON'T KILL ME!!" She yelled and sat up on her bed being frightened, she actually woke up. "Huh? Was it was a dream? Sigh, I got reallly scared. Sigh, I'm totally relieved that this was a dream. Thank you mom, for making it as a dream but at the same time why the hell did I dream of that? More than a dream it's one of the very bad nightmare I've ever had. Phew, that was horrible. But wait, it's morning already?! Sigh, I fell asleep fast and it was a deep sleep, no wonder the day is already here. But, I wanna know who that man is.." She said as she sat up being confused and terrified. She then shook her head trying to shake the thought of the nightmare and went to freshen up. She took a shower and then came back to her living room. She turned on the tv, the channel which was broadcasting was a news channel. "In a house in *name of a neighbourhood* a man was shot. The police are still investigating about the killer." The news reader said. Bo Young was shook. "So, What happened in my dream really happened, but there, the victim was also man, I don't know who the killer is though. *Gasp* Do I have superpower where my dreams actually happen? Tch, What are you thinking about, this story is based on your life and not fantasy. Whatever it is, I should be careful." She still couldn't get over the nightmare. She then received a message. "I was gonna get away form my phone for a while though. What's it?" She said and checked the message it was from Hyun Wook. "Hey, I hope you have woken up. If yes, then good morning." He sent. She smiled. "Yeah, good morning sunbae." She texted, totally forgetting about the 'date' or the 'hangout' like she says. "How about you come to *the name of a restaurant* for lunch? Then we can hangout in some other places too?" He replied. "Damn, I totally forgot about the hangout." She said as she hit her forehead with her palm.

"Yeah sure sunbae, anything's fine with me." She replied.

"How about by 1:30? I will come pick you up from your home."

"If that's okay with you, then I'm alright, sunbae."

"That's totally okay for me. Alright, see you soon." He sent.

"You too." She sent and then kept her phone away.

"Sigh, I hope it will be fun today. Well, it will be, after all, it's him. It's someone who interests me. Let's see." She said. She then went it eat her breakfast. While she was eating, someone ringed her doorbell. "Damn, Who is that? Is it that guy from the nightmare?" She murmured as she stood up, slowly from her dining table. She took a fork from the table. She went to the door monitor and checked who it was. "Oh, it's Yeon Joon's aunt..?" She said as she kept the fork aside and went to the door. "Oh, hello. Any problem miss?" Bo Young asked as she opened the door and greeted her. "No dear, there will be no problems, hereafter. You have solved it already by helping us. Here, it's the water bottle you gave that day." She said as she smiled and handed out the bottle. "Oh, alright. Please come in." Bo Young said as she left way for her to enter. "It's alright. I have to go down, they have discharged my husband today, so I have to prepare things." She said. "Do you want any help miss?" Bo Young asked. "It's okay hon, Yeon Joon is here, so he is taking care of things down there." She said. "Ohhh, Okay. If you need any help, I will be here." Bo Young said. "Thank you so much, you've already done a really great help for us. I don't know how I will repay you." She said as she held Bo Young's hand. "You don't have to repay miss. And I don't expect any too. Everything's fine as I wanted and you wanted. That's good enough for me." Bo Young said. The woman smiled. "Alright I will get going now. Take care." She said. "You too miss." Bo Young said as she saw the woman leave. Bo Young then went to eat and went and sat before the TV. "Let's watch something." She said as she switched it on. She kept switching the channels. "Cheesy...boring....dramatic. Sigh, nothing's interesting these days. Guess, I will just get ready." She said as she went to get ready. "What shall I wear today? I don't have a dress either. Alright, this will do." She said as she picked a black and red striped crop top and a black jeans, along with her cap and the same jacket. "After all my cap suits with any outfit." She said as she wore and looked at herself in the mirror. She then checked the time. "I still have an hour more. Let's do something till then." She said as she went and sat on the couch. "Oh right, I should ask Hee unnie how I should get a transmit pass.". She said and took her phone and started texting. "Hee unnie! Are you busy? If yes, then reply when you are free." She sent. She waited for a while. She didn't reply. "I will just wait till she replies." She said. Just by then, she received a notification. She opened it to reply, but it wasn't Seul Hee. "Oh It's Ji Ae." She said.

"Guys, guys, guys. You guys there? Whatever work you have now, drop it and listen to me." Ji Ae sent.

"Spill it." Yu Ah replied with a wink emoji.

"I'm here, what is it?" Bo Young asked.

"Today, I went to acting academy today."

"But wait, aren't you in the hospital?" Yu Ah asked.

"There was an important event today, so I had to go. My mom and my uncle is there with my dad, so I came to the academy."

"Ohh, Alright. Now tell that." Yu Ah said.

"It ended and I was coming back....

Back when Ji Ae was coming back from the academy.

"I will leave now, Ms.Kim, you worked hard today. Bye." Ji Ae said.

"You too, Ms. Ji Ae. Be careful on your way." The receptionist said. Ji Ae started leaving but stopped the moment when the receptionist called her again.

"Ms.Ji Ae! Wait, I forgot to tell you something." Ms.Kim said.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Someone is waiting for you. I don't think I've seen them before either. I just wanted to tell this." Ms.Kim said.

"Ohhh, really? I will take care of it." Ji Ae smiled and left.

She thought: "Someone is waiting for me? And Ms.Kim, has never seen them too. Only the driver comes to pick me up, who else would come?" She then went to the outside of the academy finally. She saw nobody there. "Huh? Nobody is here, who was she-!!" She got startled. "Boo!" Someone from behind scared her, Ji Ae turned back. "Oh?! Lim Yeong Hyun?! That startled me! What are you doing here?" Ji Ae asked being surprised at his appearance. "Just..wanted to come." He said. "Tch, no no, I asked the real reason why you are here." She said. "How did you know I was lying?" He asked, shook. "You always make a face when you're lying. You move your eyes here and there. Adding to that, I'm your best friend, so definitely I know when you're lying." She said. "Ohh..." He said. "You can't escape from me like that, now tell why you are here." She said. "I was gonna tell it anyway. We couldn't catch up in a while right, and that day we couldn't hangout too. So.." He hesitated. "So...what?" She asked. "Are you free now?" He finally asked. "I guess so." She said. "Really?! How about we hang out now?" He asked. "Yeah...sure! It's been a long time too! We will have a lot to catch up!" She said excitedly and blushed halfway. "Let's go!" He said. "Lezzz gooo!!" She said smiling brightly. They both hopped and started walking.

Back to the girls chatting.

"That's what happened." She texted.

"Woaaaahhh! Kang Ji Ae, I'm happy for you!" Yu Ah texted.

"Yeaahhh! How lucky! Now where are you guys?" Bo Young asked.

"Now, we are in a shopping mall, he went to buy some shoes. I'm waiting for him outside. Ohh, he is calling now! Talk to you guys later, bye!" Ji Ae sent.

"Alright, enjoy!" Bo Young said.

Yu Ah sent a celebratory emoji.

They all went offline. "Woah, that was long and amazing. I hope Ji Ae stays happy as she is right now. Ohh? It's time. Did I see the time in the wrong way. It was 12:45. Now it's 1:15. I didn't do anything else but only saw Ji Ae send us a brief moment. Did that story consume so much time? Whatever, I will go down now" She said. She took her ornament, keys and phone and left the house. As she was getting down the stairs, the woman called her. "Umm...Hey!" The woman called Bo Young. She didn't know Bo Young's name. "Hello, what..is it?" Bo Young asked. "Before that, may I know your name? So, it will be easy for me to call you." The woman asked. "Her name is Nam Bo Young." Yeon Joon said from behind of the woman. "And my aunt's name is Choi Kyung Ae." He said. "Oh, hello, Ms.Kyung Ae." Bo Young greeted again. "Alright, enough of greeting. I wanted you to have lunch at our home but you look like you are going somewhere." Kyung Ae said. "Yeah, I have plans today. Sorry, Ms.Kyung Ae." Bo Young said. "I thought we would eat together." Yeon Joon murmured, nobody could understand it. "No no, it's alright. But, you must come to our home to have lunch. Ok?" Kyung Ae asked. "Sure!" Bo Young said. "Alright, continue with your work. We will go in now. Let's go, Yeon Joon." Kyung Ae said. Yeon Joon waved at Bo Young. Bo Young just nodded her head. "I will just wait here, until he comes." Bo Young said and stood there.

Inside the house of Kyung Ae:

"Who were you talking to?" The husband of Kyung Ae asked in a weak voice as he was sitting on the bed, eating.

"Oh, that girl? She is our neighbour. She recently moved here. Her name is Nam Bo Young. She was the one who helped us go to the hospital when you had that attack again. If it wasn't for her, I don't know in which condition you might be in right now." Kyung Ae said. Her husband slowed down his eating and looked at Kyung Ae. "Where is she now? Is she here? Can I see her now... Yeon Joon, can you call her now?" He said. Yeon Joon nodded and rushed outside. He saw her sitting in stairs, looking at her phone. "Bo Young!" He called her. "What?" She asked. "Come inside." He said. "Why? I already said that I have plans today." She said. "Just come." He said and pulled her by grabbing her hand to the house. "What are you doing?!..." She slowed down her voice as she went inside, seeing Kyung Ae and her husband. "Bo Young, this is my husband, Jo Myeong Seok. He wanted to meet you." Kyung Ae said, smiling dearly. "Oh, hello Mr.Myeong Seok. I'm Nam Bo Young." She greeted. "Bo Young, can you come here?" Myeong Seok asked. Bo Young went to him. He tapped the bed, asking her to sit down. Bo Young sat. "Were you the one who got me to the hospital?" Myeong Seok asked. "Yeah..." Bo Young said. "Why?" Myeong Seok asked. "Pardon.." Bo Young said. "Why would someone help me? You should've just ignored me. Why did you help?" Myeong Seok asked. Bo Young looked at Kyung Ae being confused. "Myeong Seok, you are sounding like a psychopath now, in this case, you might scare her. Bo Young, he is just asking why you helped us. Don't be scared." Kyung Ae said. "Oh, about that, anyone in that situation, especially being in my place, would've helped." She said. "But, I yelled for help which echoed across the apartment, but no one ever looked out at least thinking that something is weird. But you didn't even hesitate." Kyung Ae said. "Yeah, Umm I don't know how to answer that." Bo Young said. "That aside, how did you get the thought to help us without even knowing who we are and without hesitating?" Myeong Seok asked. "This might be a little bit cheesy, but, there are people who wants you to be there for them and there are people who loves you and wants you to be beside them. You should at least live for them. They, i.e Ms.Kyung Ae and Yeon Joon and everyone related to you, wants you, they don't want to lose you. I didn't want that to happen to you guys either. I wanted everything to be fine with you guys, and I didn't want anyone to go through any hard time, and that shouldn't happen in front of me....I'm sorry if this was so dramatic." Bo Young said as she looked at Myeong Seok and Kyung Ae alternatively. They shook their head. There were tears in Myeong Seok's eyes. "Your parents must be lucky to have you as their daughter." Kyung Ae said. Bo Young just sighed and smiled. "You know, we don't have a child, but, if we ever had a daughter, I want her to be like you. You can visit us anytime you want." Myeong Seok said. Bo Young smiled. "And I wanted to ask this to you, how do you and Yeon Joon know each other?" Kyung Ae asked. "We go to the same school." BoYoung said. "Are guys classmates?" Myeong Seok asked. "We are from different class but we do talk with each other frequently." Bo Young said. "Yeah.." Yeon Joon said as he smirked.

"Oh, right, you must be late. You can go on, we will take care." Kyung Ae said. "Then, please excuse me for now. I will leave now. Please take care." Bo Young said as she started heading outside. "Bo Young! Thank you." Myeong Seok said. Bo Young looked at them and smiled and excused herself out. "I'll go see her outside." Yeon Joon said. Kyung Ae nodded. He then left the house. "Why are you here?" Bo Young asked as she saw him coming out of the house. "No reason." He said. Bo Young shook her head. "Hey, back in the house, you told that we talk frequently, right? When people say they talk to each other frequently, that means they are friends, so since you said that, it means that we are friends too right?" He asked smiling widely. "Scoff, I just told that we talk, that doesn't mean that we are friends. And, you are smiling like an idiot right now. It's scary." She said. "Tch, you never accept it. By the way, where are you going now?" He asked. "Going to hangout." She said. "With Ji Ae?" He asked. She shook her head. "Then..with Yu Ah?" He asked. "No." She said without any hesitation. "You don't have any other friends except for them and us, is it Seong Seop?" Yeon Joon asked. "We aren't even so close." She said. "Who else?...is it Ha sang?" He asked seriously this time. "What are you..*ting* even talking about?" She said as she took out her phone check the notification. It was from Hyun Wook. "I'm close to your house, now." He sent. "I'm outside the house." She replied. "Then....who is it?" He asked curiously. She heard a horn honking sound. Then a bike stopped in front of the apartment. The rider wore a helmet, so they couldn't see who it was. The rider removed their helmet. "Oh? Hyun Wook sunbae! You're here." She said. "Wait....sunbae, what are you doing here?" He asked. "You asked, who I was hanging out with right. He's here." She said. "What?! You're hanging out with him?" Yeon Joon asked. "Yeah.. get on the bike." Hyun Wook said and handed out another helmet. "Are we riding in this? Can't we just walk there?" She asked. "The restaurant isn't in a walkable distance. Let's go." He said. "Alright, if you say so." She said and put on the helmet. "Wait, something smells fishy here. Are you sure this is a hangout?...I think this is more like a date.." He said. "What are you talking about? I already told that it's a-!" She wasn't able to complete her sentence. "Well, what if it is a date though? See you later Yeon Joon." Hyun Wook said as he started the bike again. Bo Young looked at Hyun Wook having her jaw drop. She looked at Hyun Wook in disbelief. "We are leaving." Hyun Wook said and accelerated the bike. Bo Young still couldn't get away from the shock. "Are you guys really going out on a date?!" Yeon Joon yelled. Finally, Bo Young snapped back to the reality. "Oh..Oh No No!" Bo Young mumbled to herself. But before Bo Young could deny that, they both left the apartment. "Are they..really going on a date..? Tch, let them go, why am I getting bothered by it. I won't mind it....but, who would have asked first?" He mumbled to himself as he went to the house.

*Meanwhile, Bo Young and Hyun Wook as they left the house*

She was still not getting over how he said that to Yeon Joon. "Bo Young..?" He said. She then woke up from her thoughts. "Yeah..?" She said. "What were you thinking about? You looked like you were in so much of thought. What is it?" He asked. "Oh..it's nothing.." She said. "Really? But you do look like you are bothered by something." He said. "*chuckle* You seem like you won't leave me until I tell you. Oh right! I wanted to ask you this thing yesterday too. But couldn't." She said. "What's it?" He asked. "That day, you sent a substitute for the part time, was that also because you were packed in that schedule?" She asked. "Yeah." He said. "Ohhh Ok." She said as she nodded. "But..don't you think Yeon Joon might've gotten the wrong idea, like with Soo Ki?" She asked. "About what?" He asked being clueless. "Woah, how can you forget what you told sunbae? About how you told we are going on a 'date'." She said. "Oh, you're talking about that. It's about how people see others. They can take it as a date, or a hangout or whatever they can. I won't get bothered by it, because I know what exactly I'm doing. I know if we are going on date or a hangout. I won't get bothered by it. But, are you bothered by it?" He asked. "Um..well not really." She said. They reached the restaurant. "We are here." He said. "Oh..this restaurant looks...luxurious." She mumbled. "Let's get inside." He said as he parked the bike. She wore her cap back.They got inside.

They settled down. They sat down in a two seat table, opposite to each other. Bo Young was looking around. Far away inside, she saw someone familiar. "Isn't that..." She said as she pointed to that person. "Who..?" He asked and turned towards the direction. "That...is..wait, that's Ji Ae and Yeong Hyun!!" She whisper shouted and gasped....
