New life
In a dark alley unbeknownst to almost everyone a scrawny teen was being beaten to death.
" You useless twerp all you do is leech off of the clan's resources! " A buffed person shouted.
' I never even wanted to be there. " Felix grumbled.
" What did you say. " Gird questioned
" I said finish it you big dumb oaf! "
Cracking an arm Gird approached Felix with a menacing look in his eyes.
" I want to see how you put up with this hehehe. " After walking in front of the now weak Felix, Gird whispered. ' I'm sorry I didn't want to do this... (sniff) "
After looking at the almost crying Gird, Felix chuckled and said. " If you don't want me to suffer more you should finish this fast. Besides it's unbecoming of a big oaf such as you to be crying here. " Felix replied in a lifeless voice.
" I'll be following you later, old friend... " In a voice that suggested he was suppressing something, Gird said as he smashed Felix's head with his fists.
' So he wants to follow me huh, ahh let him be as long as they're alive... Wait. ' Felix eyes shot wide open as he realized something.
" Gird you didn't eat my candies did you!! " Through some miracle, Felix shouted with his last breath.
" ... " As Gird stayed quiet Felix realized how his friend could handle eating candies from their childhood just to remember the nostalgic times even if it meant death.
And so simple or complicated as that Felix finally died a miserable (yeah miserable) death only to have something wake him up.
' I-I'm alive! How can this be I've only slept for a bit... ' Felix planned to shout but found out he can only see and from what he saw he thought it was him that was still alive.
' Someone make me sleep! ' Felix shouted (or planned to) but found out he can't talk.
" Shut it kid. " From out of nowhere an old voice sounded.
" How-.. " Felix wanted to ask but got interrupted.
" And before you ask me if I can read minds... No I can't. "
" Th-... " He wanted to ask something else but got interrupted again.
" It's normal for spirits to talk to each other without mouths... So Shut It. " From Felix's vision, a ball of blue light resembling water bobbing up and down appeared.
" Now now Henrick don't be mad at the new guy he's just not accustomed to our ways... Probably. " A new ball looking like an egg that turned into a fluid defended Felix from Henrick (wow good for you).
" Why do I feel like... " As Felix was about to get disappointed in his supposedly new life, the sound of a woman entered his ear... sph-ear-e of hearing.
" Oh a new guy huh. What is this little fella doing here? He looks so cute I wanna crush him. " The woman's voice was followed by a few blobs of fluids resembling other types of things entering Felix's vision.
" What are you guys doing here I was supposed to be the only one at this time of the day. " Henrick irritated at their meddling in his work asked them.
" Well since a newbie has arrived aren't we all supposed to be here? " Another voice sounded out.
" He won't be lasting here long enough anyway do what you want. " Henrick having thought of something left them to deal with Felix.
" Hey Egbert what did he mean? " Cathy the first woman asked.
" He's a defect... He will only be here for a couple of seconds more. " Egbert upon looking at Felix said looking disappointed.
" Let's at least ask his name then shall we. " The other woman suggested.
" Great idea what's your name, little fella? " Cathy asked.
" Uh it-it's Feli-. " Before Felix got to say his name fully he disappeared from the face of the land.
' Hmm where am I this time? ' Felix looked around and saw nothing.
' Ah finally sleep at last... ' After he thought of that he got the feeling of something moving him away.
' What is this again‽ ' After getting sleep taken away from him twice he almost wanted to cry.
On a bright sunny(cloudy) day, there was a light coming from inside a hut. That hut looked as if it was already experiencing the horrors of time and was about to collapse.
Felix who wanted to sleep suddenly got his vision back.
' This better be the last time. " He grumbled.
" Anyways what is with this body of mine? I can't move my legs. And why can I see behind me? " Felix seeing the place he was in was shocked, not because it was beautiful but because the place looked as if it would collapse any second now.
Felix tried to move his legs but found out he still couldn't get it out. Having had enough of it he decided to check himself out and wanted to die.
" Why am I a plant! " Felix shouted in his head since he still strangely couldn't talk.
Mulling things over he looked to his left and his right but found out he can see the same thing everytime.
" So... I'm a plant that has 360 vision then? I guess that's not too bad. " Having made up his mind he calmed himself down.
" What do you mean not bad you can't even walk around! " Someone suddenly shouted.
" Hmm strange... Who are you? " Thinking as if he was hearing things he asked softly.
" What do you mean who are you? I'm you and you're me idiot! " The voice seemingly not wanting to answer or just wanting to confuse him said.
" How can that be possible if I'm me then you cannot be me too! " Felix not getting any idea of who the voice was decided to shout back.
" You want a system or not? " Seemingly out of nowhere it asked a question.
" Are you crazy of course I want it. " Wanting to get to the bottom of this Felix answered.
" Then here you go, don't come looking for me later idiot! " After the voice said that Felix heard a ding. He looked around for the source but couldn't find anything.
" Identity of the hosts has been confirmed initiating mass binding... "
" Binding failed... Initiating emergency protocols... Hosts found in a single body binding. "
" Binding complete... Host preference confirmed uploading system interface... "
During those cacophony of sounds Felix felt as if he was on top of the world. Suddenly he felt pain all over his plant-like body.
" Argh it hurts stop it! " Felix still confused as to how he got a system was caught off guard.
" Hosts physical body not capable of having too much information and system power... Making tiers and levels at the cost of the starting gift. "
" Operation complete shutting down the physical body to take over. "
" Wait... What no no no!! " Felix upon hearing that he was gonna get possessed by a system shouted in his mind.
" The body of the hosts is restricting the system from taking over... Putting the body to sleep... Negative insufficient system power... "
" Initiating self-destructive measures in 3 2 1... Unable to completely self-destruct... "
After the voice left his head Felix didn't want to experience the pain again. After thinking things through he found out that the system he was supposed to have was no more.
" ... Why does this always happen to me? Ever since my last life- wait last life? Oh I- I always have bad luck huh? " Disappointed that after death, his luck still follows him broke his imaginary heart.
" If only I have a system th-. " Wanting to complain about the system that self-destructed a panel suddenly popped up in his vision.
